I always loved the yin/yang table he buys at the beginning. Perfectly foreshadows him and Tyler in so many ways.

If you like this movie, you should read the book. It's not too long and goes into more detail about stuff than the movie does.

I’ve watched numerous reaction videos to the this and you’re the first comment thar referenced the book. Great job. It’s all most line for line but the subtle differences make the book better.

@@coreyhanson2480 I never read the book but I heard Chuck [cant spell his last name] actually liked the movie ending better.

"Fight Club Chuck" use to be a regular customer at Starky's in Portland. My old roommate was his favorite bartender and fry cook. 😂 He told me he liked the film adaptation, but it's nothing like he had imagined in his book. Tyler was supposed to be a mullet wearing weirdo. And "Jack" was the main character writing reflective little verses about himself as a therapy exercise.... "I am Jack's will to destroy something beautiful". Portland sucks, but Chuck is a pretty cool dude.

Meat Loaf was a popular singer in the 70s and made a comeback in the 90s with the single I'll do anything for love. He pass away to covid in 2020 RIP.

"Meat Loaf died in Nashville, Tennessee, on the evening of January 20, 2022, at the age of 74. No official cause of death was released. He was reportedly ill with COVID-19 earlier in January and reporting by TMZ suggested that he died from COVID-19 complications." - wikipedia

Great reaction. I totally love this movie and what it says about consumerism in society. There are many "isms" mentioned and shown in this movie. For instance, at the beginning, Marla Singer was what's known as a Fatalist. A fatalist believes that they will die when they are meant to die which is why she always just walked out into traffic without looking. As the Narrator says, Marla believed she could die at any moment, the tragedy, in her mind, was that she didn't. There needs to be a certain level of ignorance, I think personally, to really be a true fatalist because if you come to a red light and you keep going because you believe in fatalism, what exactly does that prove? The flip side to that ideology is maybe you were meant to stop at that red light but you'll never know because you're d*ad lol 🤣🤣🤣

When you read that meatloaf was in this movie even though I’ve seen it 100 times Bob is his own character so much in my head I was like “meatloaf is this fucking movie?!” And then laughed when I realized 2 seconds later holy shit, of course he is, his name is Robert Paulson 😂

True story? When I first ripped this movie off of Limewire (back when that was still a thing) I didn't have the video codec needed to actually watch it. So I listened to like an audio book instead. I did that... 20 times at least a teenager. And weirdly? It's still really engaging just with the audio. Says a lot about the narration/dialogue.
@Britton_Thompson3 ай бұрын
Honestly, your's is one of the better reactions to Fight Club on KZfaq. Tons of other reactors lie about not having seen it before. They always give themselves away by deducing Tyler isn't real when it's still wasaay too early in the story for this to even be possible since there's very little evidence up to that point for anyone to even be capable of realizing the narrator & Tyler Durden are the same person. Those reactors always have to try impressing their subs by demonstrating their superior intellect.

The flashes of "Subliminal Tylars" appear when Jack is creating Tylar. The doctor who tells him he does not know what real pain is, the group leader who said "I look around this room and I see...", Marla coming out of a church. When he thought he "slept", he woke up as Tylar. Tylar is hidden in the Hotel TV commercial; as he already works there.

The fat guy, MEATLOAF (RIP) was a singer known for his powerful, wide-ranging voice and theatrical live shows in late 70's & 80's. He was actually one of the best selling music artists in history. Yes it's a brilliant film with an amazing cast of characters and actors by the awesome Director David Fincher. Judging by your review & comments, I Highly Recommend!***** another stylistically similar yet completely different film with a great twist also starring a uniquely insane Brad Pitt. > Dystopian Sci-Fi film by Terry Gilliam < "12 MONKEYS"

Jim Uhls wrote the film adaptation , the script of the film. But the creator, the author of the novel, is Chuck Palahniuk. He's a very interesting writer. Almost all of his fiction intentionally deals with transgressive elements. Besides "Fight Club" , my personal favorites are "Rant" and "Lullaby". And "Stranger Than Fiction" which is a non-fiction collection.
