Daniel "Chuppi" Ciupka is a veteran of HEMA. He has been fencing since 2008 and has not only trained a lot and persistently since then, but has also gained a lot of experience at tournaments in over 100 rated fights. Daniel comes from Essen, Germany, and trains at the "Bellum Nobile" club.
Arto Fama is a well-known name that has been making waves in the HEMA scene for over ten years. Arto has been fencing for more than half his life. With over 270 rated longsword fights and over 325 recorded HEMA fights in various weapon types in total, Arto is a true tournament talent. He comes from Delft in the Netherlands and is part of the Zwaard & Steen club.

On 14.10.2023 the 2nd Saturday Fight Knight took place. This unique event in Historical European Martial Arts (short: HEMA) is organized by the sports club Grün-Weiß Holten 1900 e.V. in Oberhausen, Germany. The Saturday Fight Knight brings together international fencers in coordinated constellations to pit them against each other like a boxing event. The entertaining event aspect as well as the international exchange in the HEMA scene are in the foreground and set the Saturday Fight Knight apart from conventional tournaments.
Fighting rules:
- There will be 3 x 3 minutes fencing
- Between the rounds there is a break of 1,5 minutes
- The points are added up over the 3 rounds
- Hits in the form of thrust, hit and cut against head or torso = 2 points
- Hits in the form of stab, hit and cut against extremities = 1 point
- Double hits = no points - Afterblow = both hits are counted
- When leaving the ring, the opponents receive 1 point
- Wrestling and disarming are allowed
- Mordhau, pommel blows, kicks and punches are forbidden
