rose have fighter better standup strikers than barber though and I don't think barber is better than namajunas on the ground. yeah barber can make it ugly but it's not like rose can't handle that type of pressure

​@@ryan010ableCouple of things to note in my opinion. Barber is bigger and a known bully, and secondly we've all seen Rose break under pressure. We saw this in her fight vs Karolina and against Esparza (1). That being said her standup is more technical and she hits hard. She's also decent on the ground so I'd never count Rose out. But equally I wouldn't be surprised if Barber puts her away

​@kral2498 I mean her fight with Karolina was back before she fully evolved though imo. after that fight her standup got so much better, she didn't know how to deal with kks clinchwork at the time either and yeah your right that might be mayces key to victory but we're talking years ago there I don't know if we can judge her based on that fight. and God knows what happened with that carla fight that was so weird to see. I can see why you think mayce might have success. it's a new weight class for rose and she looked small compared to manon but then again, besides santos so does everyone. with the right game plan I suppose either girl could win but rose is deffinatly the technically better fighter

@@ryan010able my example of rose breaking was not based on her skillset back then, rather her mind game. She might be better at stand-up and clinch but she could potentially break again. She had proved to be more durable throughout the years, even against Manon and Andrade so let's see how she handles Barber. It will be violent that's for sure

It's like it's her mantra, and it has worked wonders for her in the past, against Joanna and Weili, but I think she's struggling to find it again now. Having to go back so far into her history with Maycee to find something to use is really mentally quite shallow, and it can be easily taken away. If Maycee was to apologise right before the fight for those little issues Rose is relying on by simply saying she was only a kid and didn't mean anything by any of it then suddenly that motivation is gone and she'll likely just go through the motions and fight the way she did against Carla the last time when she clearly had no motivation. A big part of coaching any athlete is supplying the correct motivation, so Maycee's team should pick up on it. The lure of the title is extrinsic motivation and really should be enough on it's own so I have to wonder just how much Rose really does want to fight these days. I think her mental toughness, in all its guises, is about to be severely tested.
