Daisuke Takahashi said “I would like to inform everyone that I have decided to retire from competition at the end of this season." Kana Muramoto said, "We decided after discussing various things."

It seems his right knee is the main reason to retire. No matter what, he did a amazing job in the past years 👍🏻😃⛸

@@JapanReporter he was a star skater before he took up ice dance skating. I personally think he was brilliant in both genres. He loved to perform. I am in tears. Will miss him and his partner🌹🌹🌹

Currently, the oldest active skater is a 39-year-old woman (Deanna Stellato-Dudek) who wants to reach the Olympics in 2026 with his partner of 30 years, that is, the age is very variable, whoever feels fit can continue until they his body allowed him, and it is what Takahashi has made, a skater that we will not forget.

Достиг за очень короткое время уровня танцора, который стал конкурентноспособным с сильнейшими танцорами мира, которые были на этой дороге с детства.
