@May Wang Yeah.. It's kinda funny my friends who are into baseball didn't really know Shohei (too obsessed with Ichiro before :P) until recently he hit homerun after homerun in MLB. But we Hanyu fans know Shohei long long time ago since he and Hanyu were always shown together as the golden 1994 era athletes 😀😀

I love this!! Yuzuru Hanyu got me into figure skating all those years ago, and Shohei Ohtani got me into baseball pretty recently so this was a perfect video for me to stumble across 😂 I wish nothing but the best for the both of them and have so much respect for what they’re doing for both their respective sports.

この2人本当に共通点多いよね。 同い年で東北出身で末っ子のＢ型。 共に海外で暮らしてる。 それ以外はインドアで基本家と練習場の行き来しかしない好青年。話もうまい。 同じ世代で嬉しい。

このお二人が似ていると感じるの、とても共感します！ 私は二人より遥かに歳上ですがただただ尊敬できるお人柄だなぁと素直に思います。 誰も真似できないくらいすごい事を成し遂げていながら周囲の人達から愛されている所とかも。 きっと外国の方達から見ても、自分に厳しくても他人には優しくて、とても謙虚な性格というのは伝わるのでしょうね。 どうしたらこのように成長できるんだろう？とよく考えますが、ご両親があまり表に出られない所も似ているので、自制心のある謙虚なご家族に愛情深く育てられたというのも共通点なのかな？と考えたりもします。 思いが溢れて長文失礼しました！

You can see the real mascots from Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles - Clutch and Clutchena - when Yuzuru, on the ceremonial first pitch (at the game in his home town - Sendai), striked!!! I want to say a lot of things so please bear with me. First thank you for this video! I really feel bad with today's Shohei's outing on the mound. He did great, but he needs support and I am so depressed with the slander he got on Twitter. I mean, if people says FS twitter is toxic, Baseball Twitter is in a WHOLE another level! I stream Yuzu video to cope up with an Angel's game lost but it's a different story if Shohei is pitching. That's why I am so grateful to see this video because seeing Shohei and Yuzu at the same time in one frame is just epic! The amount of greatness is just overflowing! Who knows how many times I came back to the original vid of that award ceremony hoping for a translation, and I didn't expect, I'll get it here. In conclusion, Yuzu is the GOAT, Shohei is a Unicorn. 🐐🤝🦄

I love your comment. I don't like baseball but I do get excited to read about Shohei. Then again I don't watch figure skating except for Yuzu's performances. I just wish fans would stay loyal to each of them and not act like they are personally insulted when they're having an off day. Some fans feel they are so entitled to gripe and make judgements even though both of them ALWAYS give their 100% effort in every game and performance.

@@tonya--7704 True! To be fair, most of the bad comments are from haters. Angel's fans and Shobae's defends Shohei no matter what. But there are just people who rides in the bandwagon when he's doing great and speak ill when he has his bad days, I can't consider them as fan at all.

Yuzuru no necesita ser más alto para que lo reconozcan, donde vaya no pasa desapercibido 😅 No sabia que le gustaba el béisbol. Not gonna lie, shohei is the tallest japanese man I have ever seen. So I can feel it when yuzuru trying to stand on his tippy toes to just get a little taller 😂😂❣
