Russia cheats at all competitions. Everyone knows it yet still acts outraged when it happens. Corruption is an everyday thing in that cesspool of a country.
Thank you for sharing all this information. It means a lot😍😍😍😍😍😍

God, Karen Kerrigan so damn whiny! The bratty 'princess' have attitude problems. Somebody, go back in time and slap her back to the pedestal. She's obviously wicked and a drama queen. Thank goodness, she didn't win against Oksana.

Maybe the next video without a background music? It’s distracting and can’t really heal the original sound and them talking.

One thing they took away, they NEED to bring back? TRACING. At least I think that is what it is called? The intricate detailing of making a design in the Ice? I remember a documentary on Figure Skating and one of the Skaters saying that it was one of the more "tedious" of the elements they had to do and it used to count for a Lot on their scoring. BUT no one saw it. Because it was "tedious". That is what they should bring back. There is really no way to "chat" in scoring that.

In defense of Surya Bonaly, she reacted like that bc she had experienced a history of given less points, not bc she wasnt good, but bc iceskating is overwhelmingly classist, racist and restrictive. If you dont fall where they need you to, its hard to make it. She hadnt apologized to Yuka Sato, but had commended her for her skill as a skater who deserved the win. Surya had every right to be frustrated, no matter how “inappropriate” some people think her behavior was; it wasnt JUST this moment that she was reacting to, she was reacting to each moment she felt she was slighted Sportsmanship is important, but so is pride and self respect.

Eventually, gene doping technology will be established. That's in the not too distant future. If that happens, conventional doping testing will become completely meaningless. please think about it. How can we test athletes whose genome editing has already made them superhuman since they were infants?

Before the C.O.P. judging system, skaters often "front loaded" their programs, putting all the difficulty jumping passes in the first 1 or 2 minutes, when the athlete has the most energy. That 10 percent bonus was intended to reward skaters for more balanced programs that spread out the jumps.

Maybe they should get intelligent judges who read.

Lol these sports people always love to put on a show when they get injured. Exaggerating it. Lying on the ground, pretending to choke for air. He did get injured in his chin. But the rest of it was all exaggeration. And he has to take a circle before getting in to show everyone his bleeding chin. And then pretending to cough and almost fall before getting into the ring again. To show that he is injured.

I am going to try to give a balanced approach to these scandals Unpopular but objective. First, the 2002 Olympics pair scandal really not such a scandal. Some would say the Russians won on the tie breaker - artistry. That was the rule in 2002 -so even if you had Sale and Pelletier first technically if RUssia was second but won artistically the the Russians fairly won gold. I do like the Canadians but I could see why RUssia who had the more "difficult" skating skill program might win. so no scandal - ust loud people having more power. Then there was Yuna Kim losing again artistry. But the so called bobble by Sotnikova on a double jump is not so major AND people forget Sotnikova had an extra triple over Kim. I just wish people would give a balanced analysis.

Have yuna ever jump something difficult like 3 axel or quad?
@McJaniJoy20 күн бұрын
Yuna Kim, the South Korean figure skater known for her grace and technical prowess, primarily focused on the triple jumps during her competitive career. She was known for her exceptional artistry and consistency in executing her jumps, particularly the triple Lutz and triple flip. While she did not regularly attempt jumps like the triple Axel or quad jumps in competition, she did occasionally train and perform them in exhibitions or practice. However, it wasn’t a central part of her competitive repertoire. Yuna Kim's strength lay more in her artistry, musicality, and the consistent execution of her jumps rather than pushing the technical boundaries with extremely difficult jumps like the triple Axel or quad jumps.

Its happening in every sport. Look at the equestrian sports. Equine sport of dressage used tobe a beautiful thing. But now horses are being ridden sloppy, there slow on the hind end, there being ridden Rolkur which is detrimental to the horses health "but its PRETTY" riders are hiding electrical spurs, and buttons in there whips. You see double bits and horses with blue tongues.... And very rarely is it being called out. It all starts at the training barn.

What about Torvill & Dean at Liilehammer 2004? Where they KNEW before they skated that they were only going to be placed 4th, and only got the bronze because the supposed 3rd place couple fell?
