Is the ground wet? What are they playing on, it looks like some type of rubberized turf.

It’s called astroturf. It is wet with water before every game. It is used in professional and college hockey.

@@leryxy1627 Of course most of the goalies do, because they are much cheaper than the helmets from companies specialized to field hockey.
