It’s pure concepts and Straight bars, tbh musicality is getting out played now because almost every dancer has it. Musicality is probably only 10% of the whole dance but if all you can do is a hit a beat with every move you’re doing it starts to look sloppy. Like Fik shun, he has musicality but because he focus on hitting the beat a lot he’s hiding more of his potential on what he can do without hitting every beat.

Fikshun destroyed everyone because of his musicality and ability to incorporate his style to the beat. He outclassed everyone at this competition. I feel like he was trying to say he was repeating the same move. I noticed he did it every time fik shun lifted up one leg. To me that wasn’t a valid complaint. 1. As if lifting up your leg is considered the same thing 😆 2. Each time he did it was different and creative. Just my take

A lot of dancers do that bc they have probably had it done to them so many times that they think they really understand repeating the same move or he felt the heat from fikshun. Look at when he trapped his foot’ when he let go it was bc he acknowledged fikshuns creativity but who knew fikshun could keep the momentum going. Happens to a lot of dancers with crowd pleasers. Just look at greenteck. He murders ppl every single round. Then most dancers , 1 round they give it every trick they know then the other dancer still has more dancing ability to kill the beat then tricks in the 2 and the 3 but it’s over in the 1 bc you can tell most dancers only have 1 good round in them

Whereas his opponents just lets him do it honestly 🤷 In rd 2 daboo caught his leg and Fikshun continued to freestyle. Worked his way up, grabbed his shirt to make him let go of his leg and bodies him after lol. Another counter but on offense instead of D. All in the battle.

I agree. A few Dancers are using Tutting almost exclusively with none of the shit being anything new or obscure. It gets stale fast when used that way. And Bonebreaking alone can only take you so far when there are a handful of cliche moves everyone in a battle has seen.

Bluprint with his dance skills and implementations of tutting are actually god-like but about bone-breaking yeah.

A wide array of moves it's not worth pulling out so often as some of these cats are because it's not really gonna captivate anyone when they see you take your arm out of place just to do a basic move. X, for example uses Bonebreaking a lot in his routines. But he is exceptional at it. And won battles from pretty much just Bonebreaking with some tuts on the side. These cats aren't gonna be impressing anyone until they bring something new
