File Folder Notebook Holder -- Tutorial

8 жыл бұрынI'm having fun making notebook holders from decorative file folders. You can also use plain file folders and then cover each section with decorative paper.

I love making these.I also make a permanent cover over notepad. I glue back of flap of cover to file folder. Love your channel.

Thank you so much! Magnets sure can be tricky. I found that I can not get them lined up unless I do it this way. Even though they are strong, they have to be lined up perfectly because they are so small. Thanks for watching !

Wow you did it again. Love this idea so gonna try it. Wondering would you think about putting a pen loop for a small pen w the pad of paper? Love the magnets I brought some a while ago not sure why our how to work w them. This is awesome. Thankyou as always for sharing your talented craft

Hello Miss Lolly! I love this! I have some Dollar Store pads measuring 6in x 7.5in....i would love to make some folder covers ..but I'm a ding-dong when it comes to figuring out measurements...

yes, they are. I walked away without buying more, because they seemed pricey. Then I got home and looked at prices for Heidi Swapp file folders and realized I got a good price. Of course what I bought aren't her brand, though.

How do u keep the flaps from staying glued? I use the same glue, but I comes unglued when something is placed in the pockets.

You probably need to change glue. For non-glossy file folders, you can use Scotch Tacky Glue, PVA glue, Art Glitter Glue, etc. For glossy file folders, you might have to switch to a permanent glue: tinyurl.com/y7a72nv3

Ooh. I'm not really sure. You have to look at the cost of the file folder plus the note pad, and then how much is your time worth?

There is a lot of space from the left score folds to the right score folds and folding in the right fold to top, the pad fits with excess of pad and does not snug up to the right fold lines. Have I missed something

@@LollyPalooza this is your tutorial above. You made a template with a regular file folder with the sizes and explanation of the score lines etc. The area where you add your 5x8 pad there is the space larger than the pad itself. Should it be more snug around the pad.

Thank you Lolly, Tuesday Morning is that a store. I live in Canada or if I can order on line. I have some from Target but they close all the stores in Canada I miss the dollar bins for stationary. Thank you again.

What is the size of your paper you use?

For which part? The folder is a file folder, which is standard size to hold 8.5 X 11 inch papers. The notebook is 5 X 8" and the large strip of paper to hold the magnets on the left was 9" X 1". The small strip of paper to hold the magnets on the right side, the tab, depends on your tab size. Hope that helps

Eve J Go back to the beginning of the video, and you'll see that I used patterned file folders. They are pre-decorated, so no extra paper is needed. :)
