one traits of us filipinos is that if we are eating and there is someone near beside we will just invite them even if a family friend or stranger.

i love the Latter Day Saints missionaries. we had two elders who visited us frequently here in California and just fellowshipped with us regardless of our religious difference... we shared the bible and talked about Jesus Christ together... heart of gold... and now i see a deeper insight of their missionaries... serving my motherland. God bless you all.

Never forget also, that we bring Bravery as part of our culture. We never give up unless we can do something. One example is with the war against the IS and the Syrian Rebels. When the Fijian soldiers where held hostages by the IS, India, the "sort of general" of the offensive told the Filipino soldiers to surrender. But the soldiers never gave up and continued to fight the Syrian rebels and ISIS. Most of us just like to die in honor than surrender and humiliate ourselves. But, I'm glad these people appreciate our culture as not everyone likes it

You may have to consider that there are differences between those in urban areas and those in the countryside. Those in the big cities may tend to more impersonal and distant while those in the countrysides may tend to be more "open" and caring.

Sir, the Filipino attitude that you have mentioned preserved us as a people! That's why, we are the only country colonized by three (3) powers, Spanish, Japanese and American, and yet remained as brown skinned as any Southeast Asian can be!

All souls day in the philippines traditionaly we go to our love ones graveyard and we will clean their graveyard and will paint it. And all our cousins from all father sides and mother side meet each other because they also visit. After we eat together. Put a tent in there and have some lunch. Others are weird because they are so attached with thier love ones. That's why they literally come up with thier foods to offer for their decease.
