Yes the shape up highlights all the imperfections, they are way more noticeable after the line up. I stay going over my fades after a line up just clean it up.

Yeah I always feel like the line up makes the whole cut come together and pop and it allows you to see where you can touch up and see spots that maybe you couldn’t see prior.

Yea iv noticed that before more often than not. Put that line to it and it shows you the imperfctions. But at the same token, it can also hide imperfections. Its a case by case basis type of thing.

Bro I’m a barber and half Filipino so have similar kind of hair to this guy . I’m based in London and here we like more of a graduation in the fade if there is too much contrast then then that would be classed as a bad haircut unless it was an undercut. But in America I’ve noticed that you do your fades less graduated and more sudden. Dark black straight Asian hair is the perfect canvas for a showstopping trim and yours was below avarage to be honest . Check out others online and you will see the detail in the blurry fade able to be created with that type of hair!

Definitely a difficult texture of hair on this one (I have the same type) but none the less a nice cut overall 👌

I would of used more thinning shears on the difficult areas with a taper comb.

It's not after the lineup you notice imperfections, when you spend 25 - 40 mins on fading hair then you take yours eyes off finally to do the line up for 5 - 7 mins you notice lines and dark spots. It's down to your eyes you staring for so long just doing the skin fade you take your eyes off for a few mins then come back to it
