Road-going bikes usually have a 110-130mm front tire and a 150-240mm rear tire, in 10mm increments. Also 15-18 inch rear wheels and typically 17-19 inch front wheels. Just for future reference, mate. If you want off-road bike ranges, just let me know. It gets way more rabbit-holey than just that, though, so I figured I'd give you the basics.

This is really cool! Do you know if ange is planning on making a tool to transfer his simulator sounds to beam or if someone out there has done it? I know you have a tutorial somewhere but messing with beam files is a bit much for me.

they aren't planning that for engine sim, though they are thinking about it for their game version :) as for now, there's a mod for it called enginesimrecorder, though I've found that it never seems to work for me :/

I believe if you made a Ural sidecar, it might work better, and it’s even 2 wheel drive.

haha I don't think having power to that wheel would help, but I did realise I left the breaks on the sidecart, which would add a lot to the instability XD

Now you next goal is to make the worlds most expensive motor bike (by automation standards). Which would have to be above 11M or so. According to google. 17:51 the video and audio contradict themselves. "It's just a stabilizing wheel"

There is a type of sidecar motorcycle for racing that is extremely low to the ground and your passenger affects your center of balance for cornering sharply

I find it interesting that beam has advanced enough physics for motorcycles. Countersteering works in beam which is awesome, I wish they would perfect the physics a bit to make motorcycle driving acceptable with beam.

I do have a plan I could enact that would make a 2 wheeled bike act as self balancing :)

@@fillman86 yes, but they need to update the physics to make motorcycle driving more realistic. That would also change the driving behavior in the cars and make it more realistic. Tire thermal dynamics and traction difference is needed. Gyroscopic physics needs some work, and then countersteering would be more responsive and motorcycle driving better. Motorcycles use countersteering to steer. Turn left to go right turn right to go left

@@KyzoFox They are working on tire thermals and constantly improve the traction with every update, but I don't see anything wrong with the gyroscopic physics, it's just that the bike mods that exist (especially this one) are not as good as they could be, all are either outdated or made by amateurs so they have fundamental issues with force distribution which causes death wobbles and ruins the handling

the bore-stroke restrictor is only for Oversquare engines, not Undersquare

I'm not very much a motorbike person (Never ridden one), but from a visual perspective I've always LOVED the designs of "Cafe racer" bikes. I am very pleased with the aesthetics of the bike (except for shipping container attached to the side 😁 AND THOSE BRONZE COMPONENTS)

OH also, I looked into what the bike should weigh, to compare to the ~300kg at 8:30 The common DRY weight for an 800cc v-twin bike is APPARENTLY ~180kg And apparently, a common "rule of thumb" for sidecar weight is "1/3 bike weight" so you'd add another ~60kg. We're at 240kg so far Add a driver, and 300kg is SPOT ON.

I checked you out, you're not bad, you've got the gift of the gab. You've got a good KSP niche, I feel you just need to refine your thumbs>titles>content to be more clickable, and bait people in, then have them stay for you :)

Use your pigeon two wheels as a base and make it reverse Does automation have rear steering option?If so its better

I've done a video with a forklift with rear wheel steering, and it's only good at low speed, otherwise it becomes unstable, and there's no way to correct a spin with it :P

Where can you set the steering lock limit in beamng? do you have a developer mode or something? at 11:10 you set the angle. I want to do that too for my drift cars :P

Would you consider a 18:9 aspect ratio instead of 21:9? It would fit most phone displays better, and is used a lot more by lots of different channels.

@@fillman86 Noo but this looks so good though? Most people who watch your videos are watching on a phone right? And all phones nowadays have an aspect ratio of between 18:9 and 22:9. I said 18:9 just because that's a good compromise and that is what most tech channels use, but 21:9 is most definitely better than 16:9 for most people who watch your videos. Please don't switch to 16:9

@@swecreations most are from pc 44% and with tv (also 16:9) it's 65%. Phones are only 30%.... I think the difference is that I play exclusively PC games

your bike is this unstable because you made the sidecar too rearward. the sidecar and it's wheels is located on the middle of the real ones bc it works like a tripod.

but it didn't have a w8, it was just a normal v8 :/ I've recently started making a w12 engine.... and it turns out that they aren't straight forward... it's so much worse than what you think it is!

@@fillman86 in your videos you were talking about weight distribution. optimise weight just adjusts the weight value, so beam is probably looking at that on export rather than considering whether the slider was involved or not
