I have delt with the same sort of stuff on Roblox (as childish as it may seem to do stuff on Roblox) with my own dirt bike models which are featured in Bike Life Miami 2 as private models to the game, and people have copied my user data to get all my files to theirs and yea it sucked to deal with and try to fix

With the modland mods, most of the uploads of mods from the repo for example are sort of done by bots in a way. They either copy the description word for word or write a very short description. Similar thing happens in other games such as Farming Simulator 22. It's amazing with how quick the bots can repost stuff lol

the usual situation that happens everywhere that you can publish any work into. it's bound to happen eventually and the unfortunate part is; you can't do much to stop that from happening. there's nothing stopping a user from simply just copying the mod contents and publishing it under a price so sorry that this happened to you

So many people repost other people's mods on modland claiming to have made it and don't even change the file name and it has the original creators name in the file name

This is happening between a lot of games, even GTA has mods being stolen and sold on different platforms. I get it, I'm an archivist and have stuff completely removed from the internet and want others to enjoy it, but I would never think about selling others work. I've released mods for GTA that have been reposted, it's whatever because it's usually Russian or Chinese sites but I ALWAYS remove post of people trying to sell my stuff, especially when I post it for free.

It's kinda crazy how this all started in January with me finding someone advertising their Patreon on some BeamNG Discord, in which they were selling a Chevelle mod very similar looking to my friends.

This kind of straight up theft is all too common in the BeamNG modding community. I’ve even seen it on the BeamNG website for a brief time. I’ve never made a mod, let alone posted it for people to use but it still makes me sick that people will straight up steal your work for a profit.

Paid mods usually suck to, I had Kenemations mods and some of them were bad. I now have a decent VW from him even though it is electric.

As someone in the modding scene, everything I've ever made public (willingly or not) has been reuploaded 4 times people have made patron accounts selling mine and my friends mods countless times people reselling mods I've worked on with other people that's what I get for being a modder, I guess? also these people on modland get paid for people clicking on the links bcz ads so even if you aren't making money from it, they are.

Thank you for not going the route of most BeamNG mod makers and paywalling your mods. Not just because it's shitty to paywall mods, but because it's illegal unless the design is original, 100% made by you and not trying to recreate any existing vehicle. Recreations of cars are fine for free mods, but when you start charging money for them, it becomes a copyright and plagiarism issue. BeamNG has this happen more than any other modding community and I'm not sure why. Most BeamNG modders don't seem to understand that you can't legally charge money for recreating a real world car without licensing that specific brand and vehicle from the auto manufacturers themselves.

Day 7.3 of commenting: You probably wont do it, but anyway. Here is a car Suggestion if you want: the Xiaomi su7. There are 3 variants of it, different in their Performance. I thought,that it would be a bit more of a Challenge if you would be able to switch modes in that car. But while driving, so you press a button and you can select between the Performance and the Suspension settings(like race mode with hard Suspension and comfort with soft ones). I thought Maybe 3 modes,and each mode should match the Performance of the 3 variants of the su7. Maybe you are interessted. Sorry for my bad Englisch,its not my native language. If you dont understand what i meant, i could try to rewrite it and explain it better if you want. But anyways,i really love your videos
