I think my biggest issue with this movie is that Brook had such a small role. I felt like a musical movie would have been a good opportunity to give him some spotlight. Plus, Uta and him are both world famous musicians, so you'd think there would have been some interesting interactions.

I think Tot Musica is a rare example of a being created through a devil fruit. Kind of like Big Mom’s Prometheus, Zeus, and Napoleon, but created using a dream instead of someone’s life force. (Edit: remembered Gecko Moria and his zombies) (edit: also Kanjuro and his paintings) That might be why Big Mom and her crew were featured in the first place. On the three perspectives of the major players of the Film Red: Here is my view on Shanks' perspective: someone needs to be blamed for the incident, and whoever does will be hunted by the world at large for multiple reasons, and at that point the WG is already hunting Shanks, so getting Uta off that island at that point on his ship is unreasonable. He also can't remain in contact with Uta because she needs to believe he was the one to blame as well or she will find out the truth, and the truth will cause extreme problems for her mind, as was shown in the movie that she turned suicidal as soon as she realized it. Shanks also probably had no idea what caused the problem in the first place, nor that tot musica is still active, he might have figured tot musica was completely destroyed after he stopped it, and that as long as Uta did not find out the truth, she would live happily ever after without him, I believe he didn't know about the sheet music at all and Gordon will not tell him about it because he wanted to protect it for himself. Shanks also did not intend on Uta to staying on the island at all. We know The Kingdom was far from isolated, since Uta and Gordon's survival was in the newspaper, which means they could leave at any time. So it was Gordon's choice to raise Uta the way he did, with Shanks' original intent being that Uta was to become a singer that brings happiness to the world, he probably thought Uta would travel the world to make that happen instead of growing up in an dead country with warped view of what is real and what is not. As for Uta's perspective she grew up hating pirates and thus her own attachment to them, having no friends and only living as an instrument for her adopted father's dream, she would use her own song world as an escape from her cruel reality, which she rejected, she is alive only in her own world. Then one day she managed to connect with the outside world only to see even more suffering than her own, seeing no value in differentiating reality and dreams, she brought happiness to the people in need for the first time. She is no longer lonely, she has rescued others into her dream world so that reality can no longer hurt them, she is now a savior with her new genesis within reach at last. Then she learnt the truth, she is no savior, she is a demon who killed hundreds of thousands, she is in fact worse than anyone she ever heard of, she does not deserve life nor happiness. Then she made her decision, she will atone for her sins, she will save anyone who listens to her song, who prayed for her new genesis, she will create a everlasting heaven as her last gift to the world. Who knows, by making this her last and greatest performance maybe even he will come see her one last time. To hear her apology, to scold her for being a bad daughter, she just wanted to see him again. As for Gordon's perspective the innocent little girl has destroyed almost everything and everyone I know, with our very own treasure, music itself, but is she to blame My hatred should not be aimed at her. Is music itself to blame Music is the voice of the soul, even tot musica, the embodiment of hatred and suffering is part of what makes us human. If my ancestors choose to seal it, do I, both as their descendant and a lover of music, have any right to destroy it? At any rate, both Uta and tot musica is too dangerous to be exposed to the world at large. I alone will have to protect them from the world itself. If Uta's singing was what released tot musica from its seal, then maybe there are reasons why this must be. If fate was so particular about this, there may be a day when both Uta and tot musica can be heard by the world for its benefit. I have to believe my home was not destroyed simply because of bad luck, our sacrifice must have meaning. Uta, we must atone for our sins together. I will remain here with you until the day we are ready to be heard.

Ado killed it on the soundtrack for Film Red. It also had the hint at Shanks' origin.
