Today we're breaking down Washington Commanders QB Sam Howell and what went wrong for him last year in the Washington Offense.

This is why I believe Adam Peters didn’t do anything drastic to “fix” the offensive line. A QB who can’t play in near perfect rhythm of the offense can make any Oline look bad especially in the NFL.

Nobody would trade with him. This came from his own mouth. He tried trading up to the first round but was denied. He's a rookie GM with a trash offensive line.

@@FinalAnthony exactly. The line was average at worse. Their problem was not being able to count on consistency from the most important position on the field at any given point. That's why Jacoby made the offense look so good.

I liked sam a lot, he has potential, but he is just like Baker was. He needs a little more time in the pressure cooker before we can find out if hes got it or not.

Watch out world. Sam is going to take over the league
@skipranger5887Ай бұрын
the reason is EB . Sam is a great QB. EB called 4 shotgun plays on 1st an goal from the 1 yard line. and we didnt score from the 1, 3 feet from the goal line and EB calls 4 shotgun plays

There is absolutely no context to this video. I can point out Jordan Love's completions in a perfect pocket and show you how bad he is. This pocket doesn't exist. Dexter Lawrence destroyed Nick Gates. Dolphins shut down their receivers. I was at that game. Dolphins scored 3 quick TDs immediately. Sam was playing behind entire game. His interception was a do or die play and McLaurin isn't the greatest route runner. Never broke back to the ball. EB's plays took too long to develop.

@@HTTR.Redskins nah Howell just had no business on the field other than to tank the season for Jayden. Beyond that Howell is a practice squad level talent.

As a commander 😂 fan he got a lot of arm strength and talent but bad decision maker still kinda wanted to keep him as a back up

He def has all the right tangibles, but like you said he gets in his own way.

@@FilmStudyForRookies Led the league in yards as a rookie. I think people don't give him enough credit. Played in a tough division, had some really killer games. Made mistakes trying to play hero when his team was losing. Would much rather have him than a guy too afraid to throw the ball cause he wants to protect his TD/INT ratio. Hyped the hawks got him. YOUNG MEAT. LETS GO. JUICE UP.

Seahawks have themselves a baller. Sam Howell was all they had on offense besides another Sam at right guard. There is a reason Jayden Daniels is recruiting Aiyuk.

Overcompensating for a terrible defense was Sam's problem. On 3rd and long down multiple TDs he should have thrown check downs. Screw winning!

Good video!!! I love Sam, but yeah he was a victim of bad coaching.....some of those plays were terrible. He did not do himself any favors

On the dot, just a recipe for a disaster
@craigsmith4518Ай бұрын
Not a victim of bad coaching. A victim of poor work ethic. He had playmakers and a system that wouldve made him a superstar. Look at what Jacoby was able to do with it in limited reps. Had he improved by putting in the work, he would've been on a fast track. You never heard about him coming in early or staying late or any extra work. He just went out and played backyard football as much as he could. That's why he failed.

@@craigsmith4518Jacoby came in and played like a vet, but they didn't gameplan for him at all. Backups often come in and ball out for a series or two but it's a different story after there's film in them. Just look how long it took defenses to exploit Sam. It was most of the way through the season.
@craigsmith4518Ай бұрын
@@ErikSeastead thats not true. Jacobys second game playing, which I think was Seattle, their corner said they game planned for him because he had played the week before. He still operated at an ultra high level. There is no doubt that they were tanking or else they would've played Jacoby and let Howell learn behind him for a couple seasons. Just tired of the narrative that anybody else was to blame but Howell.

@@craigsmith4518 just look at the NFL, nobody wants rivera, del rio or Bienemy...they were not good. Especially EB. Seatle wanted Sam because he is good!!! It was just bad coaching. Sam did not do himself any favors, but at the end the league adjusted to EB scheme...he just kept calling pass plays 50 times a game
@HTTR.RedskinsАй бұрын
Sam's time to throw is 2.4 seconds which is better than Caleb Williams 3.4 and Jayden Daniels 3.3.
@HTTR.RedskinsАй бұрын
It was 2.6 seconds which is slow for Sam's typical 2.4 seconds. I can count to 10 in 3 seconds as well. It's not accurate. The play was painfully slow to develop. One of many of EB's problems.
@Just4Games-zw9qn24 күн бұрын
Dont forget he was practically forced to throw 40 to 50 times a game. With a terrible OLine he had too much pressure on him. And then add his decision making. He was destined to fail last year

100% he needs the right coach

Against top tier corners they get shutdown. Jahan isn’t physical enough and Terry is still a body catcher. I’ve been to FedEx enough to see them getting owned. Terry still can’t get out of his breaks. He’s not a WR1. Just a try hard NFL player on a terrible team.
