Every year, millions of Americans gather in front of their televisions to watch the biggest sporting event of the year: the SUPER BOWL. But it turns out that a huge portion of these people are only watching for the commercials! WHY?! Do they actually get people to buy anything?? In this episode, I prove that these ads DON'T WORK, and reveal how to make the BEST SUPER BOWL COMMERCIALS!

I have a theory. All this illuminati talk reminds me of a while ago when MatPat said he would probably do a gravity falls theory. Illuminati? One of the characters from that show is know as "dapper *dorito*" or "dapper *illuminati" both things mention in this video. But hey, that's just a theory, a dumb KZfaq comment section theory.

what I don't get is company's always want adverts on the super bowl that only reachs 100M people, while the world cup reachs over 3B yet they almost never have any good adverts on them.

Owen Mushet Well it is kind of obvious if you think about it: if you somehow managed to purchase an ad for all 3 billion people accross multiple networks and countries, it would have to be in many languages and even then the amount of products a Nigerian and Englishman would buy is small. If you somehow got past those two things (maybe Coca Cola and a few other companies could) then you face two entirely different cultures. On the other hand, that 5 million dollar ad reaches 100 million+ Americans and there ARE far smaller markets everywhere else.

American football is pretty much designed to host adds: the time between plays, downtime between quarters, while the refs judge certain plays. On the other hand, football is lightning fast in comparison, the usual game lasts 2h with half time intermission included and there is pretty much no downtime. There is a lot of money put into advertising in the WC, just not so much during the games themselves.

Looking back, that Flamin’ Hot commercial that aired during this year’s Super Bowl seemed to check every box for the “perfect” ad. It had animals, the product in question was a snack food, and it popped early in the game.

The major problem with Mats calculation to spend your money on KZfaq instead of TV, is the target group. If you are targeting young people, KZfaq ads will do the job fine, but that's it. He already mentioned the most predominant ads on the Superbowl: Beer, cars and insurances. None of those are really marketed to the usual KZfaq viewer group. There is a reason both kind of ads exist.

Dude: Over 90% of 18-44 year old American internet users watch videos on KZfaq. Over 80% of 45-64 year old American internet users watch videos on KZfaq. Over half of American internet users who are aged 65 and over watch videos on KZfaq. So even though you thought youtube is mostly for kids, the date shows other ways. Your comment doesn't defeat his point! You can also swap out youtube with social media in general.

Dino Burre EXACTLY. Besides, in this day and age, it is NOT true that teenagers and young adults are not thinking about alcoholic drinks and cars. Sure, it is not *legal* for a 15 year old to buy alcoholic drinks, but they can still find illegal ways to get those drinks. And if the money spent on said illegal methods can make it eventually to the company via enough transactions, then the company still wins. Besides, teenagers are SUPER influenceable. If I'm 16 today and I get drilled with enough beer commercials, then when I turn of drinking age, that drilling may just turn into profit for the company. That's how it usually works, really.

There were two commercials during the super bowl about +5 years ago that permanently imprinted on my mind. Since it was back in the day where my family recorded live, I would regularly ask my dad to constantly rewind to two specific adds whenever there was a break. The first was a part of the trend where they had cute babies or animals talk in an average male voice-which I think just fascinated me more than anything because “haha” child brain likes funny baby talking. But the second... The second was framed as a subtle horror scene.. where a man wakes up in his bed as the sun hits his face. Disgruntled he slowly starts to move until he notices this small patch of brownish liquid staining the sheets next to him. In complete silence, he slowly lifts the sheets, gradually revealing more of the horror as the stains grew.. all until he finds the front tip of a car at the end of his bed. Then he screams. The ironic thing for the companies is that even if they ingrained themselves into my subconscious, I have no idea what the advert was even _for_

Your opinion sucks The secret ingredient is likely actually an ingredient used to make the patty itself, as we never actually see any sort of sauce. And if it's an ingredient in the patty, most evidence would lead to it either being actual crab meat, or imitation crab meat made from things like chum and other fish parts. (But just the right amount of chum. Plankton knows chum is involved, hence why he has the chum bucket, but he isn't successful bc he can never get the recipe right)
