Writer/Director/Author Kenneth Castillo has written and directed multiple short films and seven feature films, establishing himself in the urban Latino genre. In 2015 he formed Cienfuegos Productions. Kenneth's memoir STEREOTYPICAL: My Filmmaking Journey from the Harbor to Hollywood is scheduled for release by the end of 2020.

I feel like I'm late to the game at 17. This gives me both drive and hope.

I mean this in the best, most respectable way possible: if you feel you are “late” to anything at 17, life will grind you into fine powder in a very near future. That anxiety you’re feeling is your ego talking, not your need to express yourself. Know the difference.

Sir you are 17!!! You’re not late for anything, you are at the perfect age to start all this! And you’re living in a time when you have all the technology to make a short film yourself with minimal budget. People like me only got started in their 30s.

same here at 17, kinda feel behind the people our age that are already studying film and I haven't had a single lesson butttt we have our whole lives to learn :)
