Because at the time, I didn't know that's what they were filming, until.i got the book about 4 months afterwards, and I read about the Archer Hotel, and the filming signs around the Midlmay Club where they were filming said STB (Strike Troubled Blood) and that's how I found out

@@StrikeFans there was this new, but old style hanging sign, a rectangular 3d sign, on the top half, it was white, and the bottom half blue. In the white half, it had the words "Clarke and Taylors" and then just underneath ""Archer Hotel". The windows were boarded up, and it looked like they had some kind of event posters/music posters on them. I didn't catch any actors, because I presume they were shooting interior scenes, but I can remember just how much equipment lined the walls outside, but I didn't see any actors. The yellow location arrows like the ones you've seen around Skegness and Cornwall, some of which sold STB Unit Base, where the exact same colour as the ones I saw around the club at the time. I would flip of I found out the Holloday Grainger and Tom Burke were filming so nearby to me, and I wouldn't have any idea about it, but I'll guess that I'll have to see if I can spot the hotel out in the new series

@@StrikeFans that's the one. It's been a while since they filmed there, but I remember they were there for quite a number of days. But it's really exciting, and even more reason for me to watch the new series knowing for certain that my local area is featured in it

The weather was very changeable. Some lovely warm sunny days and other days it didn’t stop raining

Prepare for the worst weather and hopefully you will be pleasantly surprized!!

Brits tolerate the cold really well, the moment a bit of Sun comes out ( 5 days annually 😉 ) they start to undress.

if you thought the films were confusing, try the book. I had to read it a couple of times because of so much detail, but in truth the books are better than the films
