I just found the series on Crave and disappointed that only Troubled Blood and Lethal White are available in Canada on that platform for now. Loved those two series and these brilliant two actors. Also a huge fan of Rowling’s writings.

Anybody interested in cults, look into NXIVM. It’s a cult that was brought down by a bunch of very brave whistleblowers who were up against tremendous evil within MXIVM. The Dynasty actress Catherine Oxenburg played a tremendous role in doing this.

This series has been so amazing. I just finished The Running Grave & I'm literally screaming internally with all the emotions. Growing with these characters and journeying along side them as they go through all these things.... It's just, really well done. Awesomely written.

Rawlings involvement seems obvious and would automatically be a priority since airing the series will also help book sales

I'm 'unaccomplished' when it comes to figuring out the solutions to the crimes depicted in these novels. I have re-read the books several times each to try to get better at figuring these things out, but it hasn't really helped much. I am, however, obsessed with Strike and Robin's relationship. Waiting on pins and needles for 'The Hallmarked Man'.

I enjoy hearing JK Rowling speak- but she actively avoids meeting her readers now. Perhaps all writers- including myself- should do this? But keep contact by supporting book festivals

I am very familiar with the iChing and I have to say, her use of it throughout this book is genius. Sometimes, it reflects the devious use of it by a character; sometimes, it describes ancient sexism or superstition. Other times, it provides its ancient wisdom. Wonderful. It certainly shows that the best lies have some truth in them.

She knows how to pull you in, right? I get hooked on one of her books and cant put it down. She has done that from the very beginning of the Harry Potter books and that's why THIS book is the scariest of them all. She knows what pulls people in, what hooks you. How to write an addictive cult. I worried so much about Robin, I had to FORCE myself to go for a walk and remind myself Robin IS NOT REAL. And Rowling isnt judgemental of the people who join. She's quite compassionate about them. It helps me to be the same.

So this is something of a take on Scientology. I thought the book was very well done, but very taxing to read. Robin here is a very courageous character and Strike is very worried and vulnerable as she takes on the challenge of investigating the cult. While I was unable to get through the previous one, this one is superb and it really worked for me too.

OMG - this book's on another level, even though I've always loved the Strike series. I found the cult investigation very dark, creepy & close to home (having brushed shoulders with one myself).

Found this book due to being a huge Blue Öyster Cult fan. This book was discussed on several BÖC Facebook pages and it piqued my interest. Looking into it I found that this was the third book, so I decided I’d need to read the first two books first. I loved both of the first books and the third one was probably my favorite. Seeing all of those BÖC references and how they truly followed the plot. It was amazing. I read the rest of the books and thoroughly enjoyed them. Hoping there are more. Now I have to find a way to watch the C.B. Strike series on television. Also on my To-Do list is to go back and read the Harry Potter series. My kids have the books so I know where I can get my hands on them.
