Scott pilgrim is one of my go to movies when feeling down or tired as well. Edgar Wright is a master of visual comedy.

My favorite part was when he washed his hands and just barely grazed the towel to dry. Shows epic level of lazyness and/or mental fatigue.

"Actually you know what.." *CRASH* "He just left.." Fxxking dead!! Thats easily the funniest scene in the whole movie!! Kills me every time!!!

This movie is painfully underrated. Leaving the theater, my mom couldn't understand why I thought it was the best movie I've ever seen

Cool detail from this movie: The bonus points that Scott won from the power of self-respect (the ones that appear on the bottom left side of the screen) are bigger than the ones he won from the power of love.

A bit random but I love when creators on KZfaq do anything as a “surprise” or not their usual timetable, it’s great to see them allowing them self to have total control over their channel and continue to do what they want to do. Long story short this is a great surprise

When you realize the transition from the bathroom to the school hall is playing that Zelda hymn quietly. I love this movie.

Another Edgar Wright masterpiece! My favorite part of this is Thomas Jane & Clifton Collins as the vegan police LOL

The books are some of my favorite comics, and this movie is probably the greatest adaptation of all time. It totally captures the tone and feel of the books and is miraculously able to make the story fit into the length of a film. I would definitely recommend reading the comics, as the main difference is that you just get way more time with all of these characters.

If I remember correctly, the fights were choreographed by members of the Jackie Chan stunt team.

Ah yes, the movie that has most of my crushes, Aubrey Plaza, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Brie Larson and Anna Kendrick. I remember reading something about that bathroom-school scene, I think they actually had a moving set and when Scott goes to the bathroom they changed sets in real time or something like that.

Love this film. It's so punk rock in it's punk rockness. The edits in this film are straight up the bass/drums driving us through Scott's world. Script is perfect lyrics and the acting is some top notch guitar lead. Every fight scene is the band just smashing their instruments to bits!

Love this movie, one of them that always brings a smile to my face. The transitions, the music (which I unironically love), the fight scenes and the jokes are always on point. Love watching this now and seeing all the big names like Brie Larson, Chris Evans etc.

I'm honestly glad that people are watch Scott Pilgrim. It's easily my favourite Edgar Wright

I could use a lot of words to describe how excited i got seeing this video on my sub box but i will summarize with a big YES!!! Love your videos man, i really do!

Every time they show the corner of Bloor and Bathurst, a little piece of me dies inside. The iconic Honest Ed's which graced the corner since 1948 closed its doors in 2016.

This movie is such an epic lesson in symbology. So many symbols in every scene. I love how Scott passes the guitar to Young Neal when he decides to fight evil ex #1, foreshadowing how he will make his focus fighting for Ramona and Neal will fill his shoes. (not to mention how Scott is symbolized by zeroes throughout the movie and Neal sounds like "nil" meaning zero).

Bingo: The King of the Mornings, is a Brazilian movie, is really good

Top 5 for me so glad you reacted - there are so many hidden gems in this movie like the light switch when Scott first talks to Ramona at the party its way up on the wall signifying how out of reach she is and all the clues with numbers for each signifying witch X they are.

so at @10:07, during the whole process of Scott trying to breakup with knives, as SOON as the camera pans down to Envy's poster/stand in the music store, the timing of the song "Black Sheep" thats later played in the movie, as soon as Knives says "I'm in L O V E", at the exact time that's in the same correlation from the lyrics from the song. If you hear the audio/background instrumentals in the background, its timed exactly to when she says it.

The song performed by Crash & The Boys which they identify as "We Hate You Please Die" is actually another song. We Hate You Please Die was another short one-line song which was edited out of the film along with the intro to the song they actually play.

Honestly we need a movie called battle of the bands where a group of low level artist probably a DJ and a rapper or maybe a band work their way up in a fighting kind of tournament but against two bands or groups that fight with their music kind of like the scene against the twins and then they can learn their own avatars and then get into different type of musical battles

such a god tier movie, I remember for my 16th birthday I went to a midnight sing a long version at my local indie theater with my homies who hadn't sent the movie yet haha.

Chris Evans being the second ex has really cool and subtle moments like him pointing at Scott with two fingers, punching him twice and the beginning of the scene having two X's in the background

Great surprise thank you, love the channel man! I’m sorry the impetus of this episode was you having a crappy day though. My two favorite factoids on this film is that Kim doesn’t blink except for once in the whole movie in the last scene, I think after Scott apologizes but I could wrong on the exact placement. The other is that Michael Cera can actually play the Bass better than his half-assed counterpart. So he actually had to get coaching to dumb down his skills where as the rest of the band had to be trained to look competent.

Dude, imagine if Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey (the guys behind Into the Spiderverse) got their hands on making another Scott Pilgrim Movie. I don't know if the world could handle such chemistry... that being said; Recently came back to this on my ReMichaelCeracaissance Viewing Project and was like blown away by just how airtight this film really is. I was worried I had nostalgia goggles on but like damn man, every single second is just jampacked with character and heart. Edgar Wright is firing on all cylinders here and this feels like the role Cera was born to play, and the combination just works so flawlessly. Plus the jokes still land freakin' hard man I was in stitches haha. Only complaint is the changed ending where he gets with Ramona, personally doesn't fit for me.
