Thanks for the thorough and succinct review. I've been in an A5 Filofax, but am contemplating switching to personal for 2023, so videos like yours help immensely. Also, yay cats.

I just purchased this very planner and haven’t even received it yet… and I’m worried that I may have preferred the zip around version- but they didn’t have the zip around version in the cognac color on the Filofax website… and that is the only color I want… although I could have purchased it from some other non-Filofax websites… Can you help me decide and/or feel better about getting the non- zip around version? 😮

Great review (and such a lovely cat you have)! AND don't forget the beautiful colour and wear of the leather! I'm interested in your inserts as shown at 11:30, where did you get these?

Very good job on your review. Do you have any thoughts on the Malden planner from Filofax? I’m looking at that in a personal size. Appreciate any thoughts you might be able to share. Thanks

Thanks Peter. I've never had a Malden. I don't like the design of the closure (just a personal thing, obviously); and I don't like the position of the zip pocket, which would rub against the paper inserts. But a lot of people love them - if I get my hands on one I'll definitely review it.

Interesting video. I like the style so you do have a new subscriber. Do you know about the new brand called Plotter. Very compact system with smaller rings which are dealbreaker for me in terms😊😊😊 of easy writing. Filofax does put me off becuase of big rings. But I have to say Filofax Notebooks are very undervalued and have big potentional. Only if Filofax does make these in more premium format in leather for example. But the inserts with minimal rings is perfect for me. Thank you.

Thanks Mike. I hadn't heard of Plotter before but I found their sites at www.plotter-japan.com and plotterusa.com/ . Their products certainly look interesting. Unfortunately they only seem to ship to USA and Canada from the USA site (I can't find any shipping information on the Japanese site) - hopefully they'll make the products available in Europe before too long.

Interesting. I recently got a used Malden and just realised that the zipper pull is right under the top corner of the left hand pages. I have a plastic page lifter to start, but it still makes a lump. I will have to wait and see if it really bothers me. If I were left handed, I would definitely be reselling it.
