When I filter I never do more than 20mph, just because of the reaction time it would take to stop should someone change lanes, you have to remember that the majority of car drivers cannot see a motorbike. I had a left hand drive artic pull out in front of me at a roundabout, so you have to be very weary of these things.

Same. 20 mph is the legal limit here for filtering. It has saved me when people pull out all over and I have time to stop and go around.

@@bluezedd ah so by your logic 12 cars can ride side by side on the same lane because "it doesnt belong to anyone". you sound like an idiot. its illegal for good reason. you increase the risk of an accident for everyone else by forcing yourself through traffic like that. simply because you feel like you are above anyone else. you are not. and if you ever get run over you will understand im sure

@@bluezedd even in the UK it is only legal in certain specific situations that 95% of the bikers completely ignore. instead they think they can do it at any given time without really paying attention and at higher speeds, which is totally false.

@@bluezedd Those studies aren't always ideal. There has been studies done that prove cyclists (pedal bicycle) are more likely to be injured when wearing a helmet but i'm not sure you would agree with that. Filtering and lane splitting is perfectly fine and safe to do, but this rider is going far too fast for it to be safe, as evidenced by the accident.
