Ive had problems with coolant loss and overheating with my 09 insignia. Since replacing water pump, thermostat, header tank and cap i still have a noisy fan. Seems similar to this, only comes on when the gauge starts getting to 100 then comes back down. Could this be anything other than the resistor? Thanks

Great video. Vauxhalls are usually friendly cars to work on. 65 nm of torque is the right spec on the swaybar nuts😊

Thanks ^^ I'm going through this small repair right now xD mine were still the original ones from 13 yrs ago when I bought the car, and this week, I had all three of them burn out in rapid succession... At least I'll had a full fresh set on once I find them haha XD

I did try putting red LED's in place of the 3 bulbs, but it was really hard to see the display. I think there's an optical polarized filter on the lcd display, I tried removing it but that didn't help

my resistor has 4 pins. My Opel dealer will only sell the complete fan and resistor assembly

Fyi... never leave your callipers hanging by the brake line. Theyre not designed to support weight

Greetings from Greece. I know that this is an old video but I will give it a shot since I ' ve come to a dead end. So after a visit to the local repair shop my Vectra C (GTS 1,9 cdti, year 2004) has been diagnosed with the P1481 fault code (Cooling fan control module). They have tried everything that I've read here (fuses, loose connectors/cables etc) but no luck. I have already replaced once the Cooling fan control module (Part Number 1379131) with a used one but after 8-9 months it is broken again. I am trying to find a new one to buy but it's not possible since Valeo stopped manufacturing this part. As far as I know the 1.9 diesel engine (Z19DTH - year 2004) is also used in the Group FIAT vehicles (FIAT, Lancia, Alfa Romeo) and in SAAB as well. Does anyone know the part number of this part in SAAB or Group FIAT ?

Brilliant description & video. Beware you out there, the Lucas so called equivalent bulb is in fact too big to locate in the panel, only the Osram one will fit. Good luck

Sold to a friend a few years ago and he sold it to someone in Essex. The last MOT was October 2022 with 168'000 miles on the clock. Original engine and turbo still going strong. Always change the oil every 20k with long life fully synthetic.

Agreed! Best fixit video I've seen. No assumptions of existing knowledge. Really good video, clear and simple piece by piece instructions. Idiot proof!! He really should go back to doing this money to be made for sure!!
