OK, I'm glad you appreciated our efforts in FD3. What's interesting is that the ENTIRE sequence on the subway at the end was a reshoot. And there's only one shot -- the stock footage of the train going over camera at the top of the scene -- that was of a real subway. Everything else was shot practically on stage with actual subway cars mounted on tacks or gimbals, or with miniatures. It was a pretty amazing undertaking. As a side note, yes, for FD2 we shut down and controlled about four miles of highway in both directions for two weeks. Over one hundred picture cars. It was bonkers.

Me and my friends talked about this movie non stops and watched it continuously and even my dad and mom watched it millions of times because of me. For anyone asking: His camera was not the only thing that caused the crash. The movie gives you signs that the roller coaster needs repair. When they first pass the big devil statue a camera shot looking up at the tracks where they are loose. When they first get on a attendant pushes down the restraint on Lewis causing leaking of the hydraulic pump at the same time Frankie sits. In the premonition during the ride the tracks can be heard creaking. Last the tracks break apart for a split second the shot goes by very fast. All his camera did is make the disaster worse. The Director did the same with the plane showing signs it needs repairing.

This one is the best in the series, in my opinion. You care about the characters more here, for some reason, the kill setups are really creative, and Death is absolutely BRUTAL, more so than in any other film in the series. This is the A+ entry.

Then you dont pickup errors easily then lol the first time l watched it it was my favorite aswell. then years past and l watched it again, and l picked up on TONS of mistakes in the script of this movie. This movie was the WORST in the series as far as the script goes.. it was riddled with plot errors. for instance the very opening scene with the Roller Coaster. You know what caused the accident right? it was the guy with the Camera. Now after the vision, the guy with the camera GOT OFF the ride, but the Roller Coaster STILL crashed. HOW??? He got off the ride.lol

Rest assured, having 2 tanning beds in one room is actually illegal and they actually make beds now where the top is plenty high up where you could slide out if you didn’t want to lift the lid. Not that the lid would ever get jammed 😅 I’ve never had anything like that happen.

Interesting facts about FINAL DESTINATION 3 (2006) While in line at the drive-thru, a Hice Pale Ale truck backs into Kevin's car, which traps both him and Wendy in the car. The same Hice Pale Ale truck is also seen in "Final Destination 2" (2003). Alexz Johnson broke her nose during filming. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Wendy Christensen) can't drive so a stand-in had to be used when she pulled out of the school parking lot. (approx. 1h 3 mins) It took 20 takes for the hammer to fall on the forklift gearshift correctly in the home improvement store.

These vague fun facts are so dumb. She did NOT get strangled or was ever was at any risk. So it wasn’t a stunt. The rope was never tugging on her at all, the wire on the harness was pulling her. So she basically slid on the ground pulled on a harness. No horse, no rope was related to it. But you make it sound so incredible because you are dumbing it down. I was there.

@@Gnossiene369 where did I say she was strangled? It’s fairly fucking obvious they wouldn’t strangle her in real life. I said she did the stunt herself. Which is 100% true. What she did was a stunt, is it a huge jumping off a building stunt? No, anytime an actor does something physical, that is a STUNT. Whether you were there or not, nobody cares, nor does it matter. She got dragged along the floor, whilst doing a stunt. Stop being a moron. And also, how was it vague? I described exactly what happened during the stunt

There was a choose-your-own-adventure special feature on the DVD where you could make certain choices throughout the film that would give you alternate outcomes to some of the scenes. My favorite was the coin toss in the beginning that decided them going on the roller coaster at all. If you picked the right choice they would decide not to go on the ride and the credits would roll five minutes into the film.

When this first came out they made it an interactive movie and at the end in the subway there is a scene where a newspaper blows in the wind and if you choose to look at it - it tells you the fate of the two survivors at the end of the second film. Spoiler alert: The cop got his coat stuck in a wood chipper and in an attempt to help him, the girl tried to pull him out which causes both of them to get sucked into the wood chipper. I think my favorite thing about these films, or rather the most fascinating thing, is how it gets us to really think about what it would be like to be in or be witness of, a total freak accident. They are freak accidents because they are uncommon and none of us ever thing we would be in one, especially if our job doesn't entail us dealing with like heavy machinery we might get sucked into, of squashed by, or impaled from. But like the car accident or the weight lifting scene - it could happen in a seemingly safe and secure environment. Like, just try to imagine seeing someone get sucked into a wood chipper or the realization that you're about to be sucked in. 😶

So this film was made right here in my home town of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and the amusement park featured in the opening is about a 15minute walk from where I’m writing this. Locally known as the PNE , the Pacific National Exhibition is probably 100 years old and was started as an agricultural fair featuring Vancouvers largest squash & award winning pigs etc… over the decades the fairway, rides and coasters featured were added to the exhibition; the wooden roller coaster in the background is still the second tallest free-standing wooden roller coaster in North America (we were all taught that as kids growing up ‘round these parts) but the red metal roller coaster was actually moved to the PNE after the 1986 Worlds Fair held here in Downtown Vancouver AND was heavily augmented by CG in the film … but I used to jog past the real thing twice a week; trust me, not that sinister. Here’s the important part: in the “choose your own adventure” feature of the film, there is an option in which you can choose to “save” the creepy-videographer guy and he ends up spending the rest of the running time filming nature in attempt to redeem his artistic ambitions… the actor ends up wandering around Stanley Park (a massive old-growth, green space in the heart of downtown) and filming wildlife. No joke, it’s weird meta art… I realized I was a Vancouverite watching a Hollywood movie that ends up derailing into a local actor with a handicam talking to a family of raccoons down the street from me… pure cinema.

I was bummed out the best scene didn't show up in here. My fave part is when the dork is at the centennial fest and sees ben franklin and just stares at him saying "FUCK YOU, ben franklin." It has nothing to do with anything and is so gd funny.

Fun Fact: Due to still having spare money after the original production, they went back and reshot alternate scenes that ended up being used in the DVD called the "Change their fates" feature. Ex: During the coin toss, they call heads and the vision starts while she's on the ride. But if called Tails, the vision would start there and give her and her friends a chance to avoid the accident overall. Of course, they reveal an epilogue for the survivors after. Other changes even played on the alternate endings.

Yes, those fans on the front of motors where very common for rear wheel drive cars and trucks back in 2006 and before. Electric fans in cars didn't become really popular in most cars and trucks until the last 10 - 15 years. That made it dangerous to work under the hood with the car running with a big exposed metal fan before 1980. Then they started using more plastic bladed fans because is would not chop your fingers off as easy.

Fun fact, the roller-coaster was the Corkscrew at Playland in Vancouver, BC. It was also apparently in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. And it has been shut down and removed as of 2018 :') Apparently it was purchased by some unknown guy somewhere. Probably a superfan of the movie lol.

My fan theory on these movies is that Death is an entity that likes to play a game for itself every once in a while. It is the one that gives our main protagonists the visions to escape their first intended death. It then proceeds to hunt them down one by one and kill them. This movie is it's magnum opus. It used the camera and the pictures to create a scenario that ultimately ended with the 3 remaining survivors meeting up on an already doomed subway train. Death gave her one last vision to let her know she was screwed.

The Theme park used was Playland Amusement Park in Canada, and the Roller coaster is called Corkscrew. Most of the ride layout in the film is CGI as the actual coasters layout was much smaller with only two inversions. The Roller Coaster was removed in 2018.

Also, super fun fact about this movie: The DVD version of it had a sort of 'Choose Your Own Death' feature, where you could choose certain choices during the movie and it would use that to play alternate/deleted scenes, some of which were alternate deaths! For example, the tanning bed one let you choose the temperature you set the room to and setting it to the option that wasn't selected in the original cut caused a different death to play out, where the girls were able to sort of get free, but the bottom of the beds fell through, exposing them to the electrical wires beneath and electrocuting them to death instead of burning. You guys should check out the alternate scenes on KZfaq!

The first 3 final destinations were pretty good. Wholesome gory fun with relatively decent plots. FD4 was fun in terms of death scenes, but the plot/acting is the weakest of the series. FD5 is probably probably the second best in the series. But that's my opinion. But I'll let you be the judge of that one. Great reaction as always :)

I noticed the extra lit area on the roller coaster. So a highlighted area, an object near the body or head or prominent object or your posture or act caught on film like an aura since the story says there is a plan I will suppose that if you take a picture of a person out of sequence of Death's plan then the plan for their death next attempt can be image captured.-Ernie Moore Jr. Note:So keep taking Polaroids of those evading Death's plans for a glimpse hint clue to the new plan for that person.-Ernie Moore Jr.
