2:31:40 FF4 begins here Edit: Also, the other main reason Cecil works for the king in the beginning is because King Harvey found Cecil as a baby and raised him as his ward, so Cecil also feels compelled to follow the king out of gratitude and to hone the king who raised him. Plus many NPCs in the beginning note that the king has been acting strange and unusually hostile lately and Cecil himself said the king used to be just and kind.
