This is a video guide for using Aerith in the Cactuar Crush mini-game on Hard mode. Aerith is generally considered more difficult to use than Yuffie, so pay attention to the specific abilities that are used for each wave.

haha same, made me never want to see or use her again and maybe that was the goal with the minigame to help everyone accept her death.

Aerith is great in many ways, but this minigame is garbage. Aerith is amazing at dealing magic damage, healing, and hit things from afar, but she is slow as fuck, which is garbage against something as quick as a cactuar.

I hate this minigame!!! Why would you put a slow, weak character like Aeris in a minigame that you have to kill stuff and not let her us magic?!?! Then sometimes she decides not to use her range attack and just swing her staff around instead... At least Yuffie has an AOE with a decent range. Sorcerous storm they have to be right on top of her to do any damage. Then to make things even worse, on her second minigame some of them use manaward and because immune to all her damage.

You need to have a light/dark ward down, in order to cast her basic magic attack

If you go outside of her luminous circle and give the Cactaur a normal wack with her staff the Manaward will come off straight away then you can make a new luminous circle or move back to your previous one.

Thank you for this, it really helped as a reference. In case you didn’t already know, it seems Soul Drain does a lot of damage to Gigantuars, and seems faster than Ray of Judgement. This helped me clear normal mode, hopefully helps with hard.

Hey bro do you recommend to be max level for this ? I order to do more damage ? I’m struggling with aerith big time

Your stats do not affect how much damage you deal to the Cactuars. You can, however, start with First Strike materia and the Haste accessory for more ATB at the start.

Levels doesnt matter, but equipment, materia, and weapon skills/folios do. I recommend getting anything to boost atb build up, such as haste accesories, first strike materia, and any atb building weapons if aerith has any. I beleive she does but im not 100% positive. I do know Barrett doesn't have any mp regen weapons, at least not at weapon level 8. Maybe he'll get that option on lvl 9 or 10, but thats neither here not there.

@@Cman04092 I need to double check if cloud has any mp regenerating weapons I’ve swapped weapons and got full profiency but always go back to sleek slaber just because it’s badass and the stats are fantastic

@@dino007fernandes5 he does, and he has 2 weapons that have hp and mp recovery on staggering, which is super useful for hardmode.
