Final Fantasy Dimensions was actually my first 2d final fantasy and I fell in love, FFV brought back the feels the closest when I played the old iOS version. I never got to finish it though, so I’m excited to hop back in. I’m going to clear Octopath traveler 1.. then likely OT2 and FF16 around the same time, then the pixel remasters are next on the list. The only main line FF games I beat were 7, 10, (11 for 2008), 13, and (14 for 2022). I’ve played a lot of the others but it might be time to sit down and finish them :0

Why can't these FF pixel remasters come to Nintendo Switch?

When these games come to the Switch I will pull the trigger and pick up all of them. But until then there are plenty of other games to play.

it looks better than original but honestly.. i was hoping they make this 2d graphic like psp version remake level or at least iso version. :(

So after this only left 6, but it will be the same. In the end, the only good thing about these versions is the music, the rest you have more complete versions on consoles, but you also can emulate those on PC/phones, so, no need for a older console to play in a better way these 6 games. And don't forget that you can use shaders on emulators to make the game look as you please.

They need to redo FFV in the same manner they did FFlV the complete collection for PSP back in 2011.

0:51 how is this bare minimum? It only takes away postgame stuff (2:42 compared to the FF2 arcane dungeons which were a breath of fresh air in that limited game) compared to previous things that change a lot (FF4 was made easier and its cast is too limited as you can't even swap party members). Quality of life more than makes up for it. 2:13 those are terrible combinations as the bard will spam romeo's ballad and master quickly. Thief who can punch hard is fast and much better, though I feel people usually don't get the combinations right, let alone blue mage with control to get the badass spells. It's a lot better than FF6's relics with characters power crept by the magic system as they probably won't fix the rare desperation attacks working with low hp like ff8 limit breaks. 3:03 you also can fight against enemies in bestiary with Augmented Reality on the mobile version, so it's like you make your own background if you wanna redo a fight for fun. So 4:08 is a gamebreaker to exit the game, unreal. 4:41 you mentioned a lot of quality of life features before battle backgrounds/visuals and then go against it like the other stuff (especially the game playing faster) doesn't matter.

There we go with the "modern audiences". These games really needed to be faithful to the originals as a way to preserve them precisely because of the problems you listed at the start of the video. I am so glad that Square didn't "remake" them and change everything that was so great about them. Final Fantasy XV was a game for modern audiences - it was garbage. Be careful what you ask for. I'm not even confident that most of the people who work at Square could make something better than the original Final Fantasy games, and I am glad they had the humility to simply copy and touch them up rather than put their own spin on them. If someone is arrogant enough to think they can make a game better then I would ask why haven't they? And why are they working on a remaster of Final Fantasy for if they were oh so good at game design? When you work on classic projects like this, BE HUMBLE AND ADMIT YOU SUCK AND THAT YOU ARE THERE TO HELP AND LEARN.

I want everyone to know that that these remasters came out in the same year Mass Effect: Legendary Edition did (a much more advanced gaming experience). Not only does LE have graphical updates but improved controls and mostly all the DLC. Shows why SE has more misses than hits the last few years unlike Bandai Namco or Atlus. THEY DON'T HAVE MUCH PASSION ANYMORE!

These Pixel Remasters had a lot of potential, but in my opinion Square dropped the ball. The graphics somehow came across as both muddy and flat, and the U.I. looks like it was slapped together in 5 minutes. I honestly don't get why people are defending these remasters. They are FAR from the definitive version.

Worst FF of them all. It is not a hidden gem. It was always a convoluted crap.
