I find that forcing you to use auto-life multiple times during a boss fight isn't actually a fun way of making a fight "hard", just a lazy one.

This fight doesn't force you to use autolife multiple times.... in fact I didn't even have that materia on anyone when I beat him. I'll post my strat. I also didn't run and dodge all the time either...

@@jayr7613 Odin has consistantly used his kill limit brake more than once whenever i fight him.

@@Mukation that's because you're getting hit by his attacks. Take a look at my strat, it will help. Odin has an internal hit counter and when he gets to that mark, it's game over. My strat will help you get past that once and you should be able to take him down before he hits the mark again.

SIMPLY SWAP CHARACTERS!! Want a tip, bring in whoever you want as this Yuffie nonsense isn't even needed. However, Yuffie IS handy for her ability to build ATB from a distance and quickly. Her Brumal form, or blindside are really irrelevant. When Odin turns to even target the character you are controlling, immediately swap to someone else and continue your barrage. The AI controlled character will do all you need to get you through til the end. Use revival earrings on the entire party in case of an accident Equip bahamut and ensure he's cast when he's up. Mine was hitting for about 6600 so this will chunk him when the timer runs out. Keep debuffing Odin via deprotect, debrave..spells of that nature. Something detrimental, even bio helps. Only use LB's when he's finally staggered. This goes for snyergy abilities, too, or at least ensure you have one available for his stagger period, needs to be an offensive synergy. If you THINK he's close to using Zantetsuken and your stagger gage is close, DONT stagger him until he tries to use it. He pauses for a bit so as long as you've gotten the gage close you can easily stop 1 zantetsuken and reset his hit counter. His pause is about 6 to 8 seconds. Again make sure the stagger gage is really close if you try this.

The revival earrings are a good safety valve, but the best method is to simply get better at reading Odin’s behavior and avoid hits. If you switch characters as he turns to look at the one you are controlling, chances are the character he’s now targeting will not be hit, and you can avoid Gjallhorn’s Warning.

So I wasn't using the autolife items and was trying to respect Odin's mechanics. I'm glad to know through this video the tech is screwing Odin and just blitz him. Of course Bahamut is what killed him and it made me feel so good. Kinda mad I had to look this up.

Enemy skill materia ability for assessing the required amount of enemies in the grasslands. So chadley will have it for you

@@z3ph1r_just go to Chadley’s combat simulator and look through the battles available to you. Pretty sure that one is queued after you assess 16 monsters and possess level 2 monster ability.

He is still going to one shot u but after revival u will have to depend on staying alive and use different strategies.
