Gys can I ask. Why when I walk for find enemy for sphere power magic speed etc. I can't find them just pass . What's wrong.

One tip about Kottos is that if you use an Extract skill on him, he'll drop 40 of the specified sphere type. Running lower on Power spheres? Just smash this chump a couple times and get up to nearly max. Very very useful.

I find it easier to just use Wakka on Fafnir if you can do max damage on him.

Another use for Kottos is customizing SOS Regen to sell off the extra armor you get.

Before resuming with the many hours of editing I still have left for FFXII (There's still 30-40 parts to edit/upload), I wanted to continue my FFX Boss Guide series by tackling the Area Conquest section of the Monster Arena. I will eventually complete the Monster Arena and also make a video for the Dark Aeons to round things off. I hope this proves helpful, enjoy!

I can neeever tire of FF games :P They got me into modding just because once everything is completed perfectly that's all there is left to understand them in more detail (and all the unused content and sometimes just the structure of the data is really interesting to see what they were thinking during development). E.G. FF8 could have fit on 3 PSX CDs easily, I wonder if they split it more for narrative purposes - those feels during a disk change :O There are also loads of strange "easter eggs" in a lot of boss fight scripts throughout the titles. The funniest thing is the speedrunning community always found everything already when I think I spotted something new.

I replay the game with the following caveats. I give myself items in save editor for lightning dodge, chocobo race, and butterfly mini games (Worst part of ff10 experience). Another consideration is if to carry over with save editor the learnt overdrive charging skills such as slayer etc. As many take excessive grind time to learn. I havent done it yet but plan to replay game with randomised sphere grid, should be quite an experience.

I played through it and X-2 for the PC HD release but that tower game is stopping me from properly getting it platinum, at least for now :P I will admit I made a script to dodge the lightning (check the colour value of some pixels on the screen then fire the dodge key)... I did it the proper way back in the day though. The chocobo game took the longest this time because it gave me terrible luck for soooooo long. None of that was as frustrating as getting 100% in X-2 though (by the way, every guide on gamefaqs has mistakes, don't trust any one on its own). It also had just 1 bug when using the JP voice mod (so good by the way, in X and X-2) where it bugged a cutscene you needed for %, and somehow it affected the game file from the start - you couldn't just turn off the mod for that scene >_< X-2 actually has really solid gameplay :/ I enjoyed the side quests quite a lot.

i know this is an old vid so dont know if this will be seen. As soon as i reach the calm lands i buy the 'capture' weapons and capture 1 of each in the calm lands to unlock the arena. I then use the capture weapons up until the final boss, makes the game more challenging whilst completing some of the captures

Well the monster arena only has one theme so it's probably one of the best places in the game to the game sound off and listen to your own soundtrack :) I wonder if there is a smooth mcgroove FFX Ost patch like there was for the Tidus laugh?

I love the battle theme, it's so good but yeah anything repeating after a couple hours grinding can be too much. It's the blitzball music for me that was the worst, that beat at every kick off strangely gets me hyped but at the same time gets old very quickly lol. A bit of Smooth every now and then never fails to put me in a happy mood though.:)

6:35 +50% physical damage! focus works the same, max stacks is -33% taken, +50% dealt.

stratoavis can be beaten VERY early (zero grind, just defeated yunalesca) using auron, tidus, and yuna. get hastga, protect, and cheer on your crew, as well as slow and breaks on strat. then you cycle through the turns, using auron to sentinel the attacks, and hammering the boss when he goes to charge. tidus is just fast damage and yuna will spend most of her turns praying, clearing darkness, and occasionally cura when auron gets low.

the worse feeling is when you just spent 3 hours catching 10 of everything in one area (2 of that on 1 creature). go back the the old guy. And find out you tallied that one mob wrong and you only have 9...

Spencer Dieleman- I kept killing until I got a pop up that the capture limit was met. It might have taken longer with the rare mobs but never wasted time running to the monster arena and then back for one.

I know this question doesn't fit with this video, but I've looked alot around the internet for cheats for FFX and I haven't found anny results and I'm thinking if anyone should have any idea if / how this could be done then you might know. So I was wondering if there is a cheat where you will be able to play/controll Yuna in the main parts of the game (Outside of Via Purifico)?

Is it possible to go all the way back to Besaid to capture fiends before Yunalesca? I'm doing an NSG run (sorta, I gave everyone flee, steal and use to make it easier for myself since it's my first time doing a challenge on this game) and I keep dying on Yunalesca's third form so I wanted to make better equipment.

You have to do this before the crawler boss fight. You need to kill that pesky dark valefor. And in the way stands the dark magus sisters too. You should just get higher level or get holy for yuna, rikku or kimahri (closest 3 for holy)

@@Roksana-gy1ek NSG = No Sphere Grid. So you literally don't use the sphere grid ever. No Holy, no higher level and so on ;)

i do wish people would have a challenge here cause on all the videos ive seen, everyone uses Tidus, Wakka and Rikku. all cause of quick hit and i think that takes away the challenge. am i the only one who favors Lulu, Yuna and Auron? and i really do like khimari. Awesome vid BTW

nothing to do with quick hit, everyone is as good as quick hit as each other, although these 3 characters have faster animation, the main reason for those 3 characters is they have best overdrive abilities.

In my first ever save I used Yuna, Auron and Tidus. I liked that party for story reasons and defeated all the Dark Aeons etc with them. In repeat playthroughs I was doing stuff likeno sphere grid in which Rikku is an absolue must. For the commentary walkthrough it was a guide aimed at getting 100% in the most efficient way possible, and imo that is with TWR as your main 3.

Back when i was playing FFX 20 years ago (in PS2), i capture 10 every single fiends in every areas of the game, yet... Nemesis didn't show up, i thought my game was buggy, until recently i just know that unlocking Nemesis needs beat every single Area Conquest, Species Conquest, and Original Monsters first.

My absolute favorite part of this game is right at the end. Right after you leave Zanarkand, before you finish off Sin, as you're beginning to unlock the secret locations, capture monsters, and collect weapons/items. It's so fun, I love battling the monster arena and watching my characters grow. I know, they're all gonna end up at the same place anyway. But it's fun for me nonetheless. The way this game sets its endgame up is why I love it. The monster arena bosses all drop something useful, you can always get something if you need it, and there is endless customization. You can challenge yourself by restricting characters to certain "classes" or "jobs", you can have them all max out everything, it's a blast. I'm at the beginning of the game right now, excited to play more and get here ASAP.

it's actually quite humorous that SE has Espada to cause both Death and Poison in Hades Claw, in the end, you will die regardless of what kind of armor you have, then what is the point of Poison when you cannot survive.

Well no, as mentioned you can survive it with deathproof. So if you have some deathproof armour and enough HP to survive the damage your character will be left poisoned (if they don't have poisonproof). It's not like Coeurlregina's hyper blaster which will ALWAYS kill you. Perhaps I didn't make that sufficiently clear but the notes mention that it isn't an "always" type attack.
