He mentioned in the Nudawn podcast that he keeps gear that he uses for multiple jobs in the wardrobes, and most of the job specific gear goes into satchel / sack / case. That way he only needs to move everything BLM into his inventory when he wants to play BLM.

@Phil Jermakian Yeah, I personally know Avesta... he's not on any private server. People just like to steal his name. His name can be found on Nasomi, Eden and Omega. None of which is him.

Avesta stopped solo’ing once gravity was nerfed with diminishing returns for the most part. He relied on it heavily and it made solo’ing very easy. He should still be commended for inventing the method and inspiring but realistically it wasn’t skillful with gravity up full time.

If you have your log in information you can check see if the character is still there though if it isn't it is so much more quicker and simpler to get backup to speed as it were now.

@@Starnech Sadly, there is huge chance I won't be able to recover as e-mail it was attached to is gone. I do still have my original codes and even my one time login token.

I also was an original player who did not come back after over 7 years. If you call customer support they were able to work with me so that I was close enough to reclaim my original account. This is after I used a buddies account for a year and then he took it back. Also I will say starting from scratch is nothing anymore. I had forgotten so much that I created a new character to play with my wife who just started. So did a buddy of mine. We surpassed our old characters in a couple of months. It does not slow down until you get to endgame if you could call it that, and you start farming for gear and grinding job points. I am basically saying do not feel like you are behind by loosing an account. Once I got used to the game again you can become overwhelmed with how much content there is and you can do almost all of it solo if need be because of trusts. I say take the chance and give it a try. @El Bottoo I believe to buy the Ultimate Edition which includes all expansions is $30 US. After that the normal subscription fee. Compared to all the MMOs me and my friends played over the years, I finally just had enough and settled down and started this as my only MMO to play. Good luck on your choices!

I would like to reply that a properly geared Monk, with a good knowledge of how to play the job, is among the best DPS in the game. This video is spot-on in terms of the improvements for the aforementioned jobs.

@@nhifuu There are some who use BST to solo end-game content! With the right gear you can do alot of damage and content.

Hit enter too fast. The DRG update was fantastic and something I think needs to be said is it’s actually now a very good subjob for many DD replacing /war in attack capped cases. In fact the DRG update was an indirect update for many jobs because of this. For RDM I agree it was a great year for them. They still have an issue where you only ever need one per alliance which limits them but for now I’d call it a win.

That was so gross when they added Accension (or whatever the SCH ability is that makes spells AoE), but didn't allow haste to be cast via that ability that way as AoE. Back before I loaded up on an enhancing magic duration build, I recall that 3 minute haste timer being sofa king annoying.

Although I believe that Monk was never that broken in the past year, they did in fact improve the weapon skills greatly. A properly geared Monk will rip through most end game content .

That change to impetus would be completely broken with 99% accuracy cap. Chakra is meant to be a full cure for oh shit moments, not making a monk a self sufficient job. Chi blast damage would need to be huge to matter and it would have no sense really. It has great utility and require no updates. FW has very high damage, not sure where are you coming from here. It's very good ability. You could increase duration, but you would probably need to tone down bonuses then. I like it how it is now. It's a great zerging tool or something to partially fill the spot of 2 min of Impetus downtime on longer fights/events. The only thing that could be changed is counterstance.

@@nemeanlioness lol yea NIN arent the highest DD but Blade Ten, and Chi are really nice but arent that great for SCing. I would rather they fix ninjutsu as now its pretty worthless on end game fights. And there should always be a way to make an aspect of a job perform well in the endgame and atm ninjutsu just does not.

@@nemeanlioness The Relic head had Enhances San Spell damage...That is Yonin/Innin augment now. The feet had M.att they now has cast speed and macc. Nukes are weaker, and they were already weak for endgame stuff.

@@braddecker6820 ive seen good dancers. Good theives are more rare. If youre not bis on your war, sam drk, mnk, or drg. My thf will make you look silly. How many people check me after i drop an almost max dmg ws, i lost count. If you use your two hour dnc could pull a little ahead for a little bit. From the almost maxed ws's every 30 seconds to the almost the best white damge in the game. Dnc is a joke. Edit.he said spike dmg, when you can damn near one shot any mob. Nobody beats your spike dmg.

See the thing is I have both THF and DNC at BIS. I LOVE my THF, but that doesn’t mean it’s better than DNC in spike damage. It’s just not. Climatic flourish is basically guaranteed 99k damage and you can do it multiple times. At best THF can equal this with TA and SA. But it’s when abilities are down that DNC will really dump on THF because they just have better gear. I really hate that they gave THF only +6% WSD on their +3 And literally NO job can out DD a DNC for the roughly 15 seconds it has its 1 hour active.

@@braddecker6820 see the thing with sa/ta is its up every 50 seconds. Thats 25 second between them. So it can be spammed. Use your one hour and youre done. Dnc doesnt have access to the best dagger ws. Mandalic Stab. I would like to see this better gear you speak of. I highly doubt it beats the triple attack/ dex gear of thf. Im guessing it looks more like drg or blu gear and have a bunch of other stats that help with your job abilities than straight up dmg. Your two hour is limited to how many ws you get off and seeing as dnc is slow compared to thf.. Good luck. Dnc has more survivability and can lay down some damage once an hour. But thats like saying smn can do more spike damage because of their astral flows once per hour. Yeah what about the rest of the hour.. Remind me, which job did everyone bring into Domain invasion for that sweet white damage. I wouldnt even have to ws to beat your dmg on dnc.

@@SplitFinn This. My group has played almost every major mmo and plenty of minor. None have the challenge or the community support this one has. There are 3 of us out of 7 who have come back to FFXI to stay after the last 13 years of searching for better. Only 2 others play mmos sometimes anymore as no one has found anything that can not be completed in just a handful of months. Almost all MMO's are made for the masses. The masses are happy with so so.
