The game was fun to a lot of people that weren't even fans of MMORPGs. You simply need to like that genre and try it out if it's your thing. But this game was extremely popular and it's still being massively played.

For realsy. Anyway, the player in this video is a White Mage (dunno what the sub job is). Their job is to stay as far away from the enemy as possible, while still staying close enough so their healing spells can reach their targets. That's why it appears they're standing around and doing nothing.

yeah, in many cases you just stand there. There's no fire for you to avoid but there's a lot of strategy involved in types of attacks and timing as well. It can get quite complicated. It's definitely not a newb friendly game like WoW. You don't just get to ride an airship (zeppelin) just because. The smallest things in the game have to be earned. When I first played wow and saw I had regen and refresh at lvl 1 I almost lost it. Little things like that are earned in this game.

actually there is alot of soloing/duo/trio content in the game now no longer need 6/12/18 man set up for alot of stuff. But they brought some of that back up in the expansion not to long ago lol

@HyakuZaku FFXI only sucks if you don't have friends to play with. It's not a game meant for solo play. Maybe you'd prefer WoW or the TORtanic?

I liked this game but it always felt like I spent more time looking for parties than anything lol wish there was a little more of a single player element to it but for a first MMO it wasn't a bad start

Seriously? :I Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and X. Notice how the characters just stand around and do nothing until you give them a command during battles?

it was very fun game i played since day 1 i love it but then the support for the gamers went to hell and after the goddess add on came out player got hacked like crazy ever since then.I had a k club to wish i could get my gear back sadly i no free time now to play and i dont like to play on a pc higher odds waking up getting hacked.

Better game than ffxiv if you're a hardcore player. It's way more difficult and rewarding.

@Meschoui Hardcore? If you want to stay awake maybe. Clearly you've never seen an Ultimate raid, where you have to actually take more than 10 steps hahaha
