@@IoEstasCedonta Nah, the cap was abolished in 2003, not long before Ken Jennings started his 74-day streak. Now, you continue as long as you want, and as long as you don't lose.

I wish he had gotten 2 weeks like most others. He was very good. I am not a big Joe Buck fan, but loved his dad, Jack as a baseball announcer. Joe is always depreciating himself, and kissing up to the NYY, despite being from STL.

@@jdhjimbo I agree... Joe is definitely not the announcer his dad was. Jack Buck could announce a baseball game and make you feel like you were sitting in the stands. Joe has never managed to fill those shoes

@@jeffreybate1548 I mean, you never know. Contestants like Larissa Kelly and Jennifer Quali have proven that women are indeed capable of winning big on Jeopardy, so who really knows what will happen. I think part of the reason why men tend to perform better on Jeopardy is because they generally tend to be faster on the buzzer and also because they often make more gutsy wagers on Daily Doubles. And as we've seen the past few years especially, taking advantage of Daily Doubles can help put away games and make it impossible for your opponents to catch you.

@@deecody5427 He is part of the vanilla modern announcer that strives to be p.c. without any unique character. Jack Buck's call of Kirk Gibson's GWHR for the Dodgers in the 1988 WS was a classic. Always loved listening to Vin Scully all those years in LA (he also did NBC Game of the Week games with Joe Garaggiolo - whose son is a local newscaster in Detroit), or even Ernie Harwell from my boyhood days in Detroit. The new guys are not the same.

@Will N My comment was this thing called a joke, and doesn't claim any official announcement has been made. I'm sure the reporting of his creepy discriminatory behavior has impacted the negotiations and/or the timing of any announcement. Also if you think this was some search where everyone was judged solely on their ability to host and everyone actually started with an equal chance to be hired, I have a bridge to sell you.

@@masterdoge987 Oh yeah, he unquestionably has. I was just setting the record straight to QZX Productions is all. The fact that Matt Amodio hasn't yet topped David Madden's cash winnings definitely does not at all diminish his brilliance as a player (and in fact actually I'd consider him a much better player than Madden all things considered. Both him and Julia Collins benefited from a lot of luck and their streaks really don't seem quite as impressive in retrospect when compared to most of the other ultra champions since then.

AWESOME job Matt on going over the $400,000 mark. As of now, Matt is at where Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer was went over the $400,000 mark in their thirteenth game and there's only one more week until Jeopardy! Season 37 and I hope Matt closes out a 'dismal' season of Jeopardy! and get Season 38 off to an AMAZING start!

New guest host will be Joe Buck. The last in this series. Matt will be max 18-day champion to the end of this series. One Girl was 19-day champion, 2nd best score after Ken Jennings (74 winnings).

I hope they just keep rotating hosts every week until someone clicks. Lots of these people are fine and do a good job, but no one feels like the right successor to Alex Trebek.

Literature is any collection of writing, particularly fiction, poetry, and drama. Whether you enjoy the book series or not, it is correct to refer to it as literature

@@joshABPR Technically correct. However I have noticed booksellers usually have a separate section for "literature", apart from genres like mystery, romance, western, fantasy, sci-fi and something called '"fiction ". Not to mention "children's books", which arguably is where the Harry Potter series belongs. (I know many adults enjoy them but the fact remains). When it comes to Jeopardy clues, a word like "literature" gives a misleading impression. There is lots of "high class" literature I don't LIKE, in the sense that I I don't enjoy reading it, but I wouldn't consider challenging its right to respect. Harry Potter has been called out by many established critics for it's bad writing. I did read a lot of the first volume and was depressed by its inferior quality, the cliches and cardboard characters.
