@@abhij125cracking IITJEE and getting IIT BTech degree and working in McKinsey is not a small thing. Ashneer knows that value being an IITian and founding billion dollar startup. That’s why he was frustrated these guys wasted 3 IIT BTech degrees (for which many students commit suicide for not getting into IIT) on some illogical never profiting startup ideas.

Such a great episode, sort of uncovers the veil of overconfidence these premier institute alumni as well as arrogant early-stage start-up owners carry these days. They'll flex their vocabulary use words like "hands-on", "problem-solving", "strategy consulting", "IIT/IIM" and still come up with an average product trying to solve a problem which generally doesn't exist.

If you wanna drive a Ferrari, never take advice from Maruti Suzuki driver. You’re doing the same thing. You never founded a startup, no idea how to run a business and didn’t even crack IITJEE or CAT. Ashneer coming from a middleclass family background founded billion dollar startups after getting degrees from IIT & IIM Ahmedabad. It ain’t a small thing and definitely a big achievement. And he’s a straightforward math guy who avoids sugarcoated fabricated bubble BS which is much needed in any startups. Dhanda emotions pe nehi chalta, factual maths pe chalta hai and that’s what Ashneer teaches.

Profitability is essential but revenue matters... Apart from this , they have wasted their professional experience which many yearn to earn. Being an IITian myself and having worked so hard for IIT, getting a Btech and then leaving it to start a foolish startup for such an unrealistic problem is mere joke. There are people who work hard for years to work at McKinsey as their dream company and then we have such fools everywhere... Mostly in IIT Bombay.
