Short Clip Series Episode 266:
In this episode fly with me on an American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-80 as we arrive at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), for the last time on an American Airlines MD-80, on a stunning afternoon. This was filmed onboard American Airlines flight 80, inbound from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), on September 4, 2019. This full flight was previously seen on my channel here:

I am a pilot trainee who loves your video in South Korea. There is no culture of cheering and clapping after landing in my country, but it's an enviable culture every time I see it. Thank you for uploading a good video~!!

Well, there typically isn't a culture of cheering here either, but this was a very special flight. So, I was happy people gave this plane the proper sendoff. Thanks for watching my friend!

I've been flying commercially for over 50 years. The DC-9 and its derivatives, the MD-80 and the B717, have long been my favorite aircraft. I'll miss them when they're gone.

So, I scheduled this video to release today, a long time ago, before the airline industry started to suffer so badly from the coronavirus outbreak. So, for anyone who may be confused. This is the landing from the final American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-80 flight that I took last September. This is not American Airlines’ final revenue flight. If you would like to watch the full events from the final flight that took place last September, you can watch that here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/idqmhtiG2s_XYmg.html

All the times I've flown on a Mad Dog, and I never imagined this day would come. The last time I was on a Mad Dog, was in 2016 (AA). I'm going to miss the beautiful music of their JT8Ds. Farewell, good friend. You've been good.

I flew the MD's for the former Midwest Express(Midex) and loved them. Nothing like the peace and quiet of the office on the old MD's! The-90's especially were narrow body rockets!

According to the pilots they were going to at DFW and ORD. But at DFW the trucks were called away for an actual emergency, and at ORD, the air traffic controllers routed us in so quickly that the trucks showed up after we had already parked at the gate.

The last time I saw pictures of this aircraft, after it was ferried to Roswell, it looked like it was being parted out. Which is sad, considering this was the last MD-80 built and was obviously the last MD-80 to fly for AA. I kind of hoped it would be preserved.
