This is the Crossfire CNC plasma table from Langmuir systems.
Here’s a affiliate link to the Crossfire website if you are interested in checking out the table
store.langmuirsystems.com/?aff=16
Don’t forget to use the promo code MIKEFESTIVA this will save you $100 at checkout on the table!
It’s a surprisingly affordable 2x2 table at $1500, I added the optional XL table extension for $150 and the optional stainless steel water table for another $150 but for $1800 it’s really a quality table!

How cool. I have a Torchmate 2X2 and I have made thousands of things. The best piece of advice that I can give anyone with a plasma cutter is to buy the small Harbor Freight air dryer. It cost about $500 but worth it. The other thing is to put a plastic bag around the handle trigger since you have a water table. That plastic bag will save you hundreds of dollars. I like your machine but I was a little concerned about the gantry arm only having one support instead of two. If you live near Racine, WI I would love to share programs with you. It looks like you know a lot and well on your way. I make most of my art program just by tracing in CAD.

It's free and will work with the older tables. The quote below is from here (@t) you may not have access to the post if you are not in on the Pro preorder. FireControl The main benefit of the CrossFire Gen 2 System is FREE, cross-platform, plasma-specific control software with a modern user interface and ongoing support and development. Langmuir has their newer and bigger table on sale. Sooner you can order it, cheaper it is. A tiny tab to knockout is not an issue. I'd definitely get the water table, does A LOT to reduce warpage if not eliminate it. For some of my art projects, this would save an insane amount of time once orogrammed and make duplicate parts perfectly. Can't wait to get one.
@Mikefestiva
@Mikefestiva 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out my video! The tabs on that were from me not setting up the IN and OUT cuts and CUT speed properly, I have gotten a lot better on setting up the Inches per minute and have completely eliminated that problem, but the Fusion 360 program is pretty detailed in tool paths, if you have parts that you’re concerned about tipping up when cutting them out it’s easy to add small tabs that you can break off after the part is cut. I think you will benefit by owning a CNC table especially your art projects! I need to look into there newer table and checkout some of its features. Take care 🙂

I was one of the early buyer for the table when it first came out. I've been very pleased with it so far. Fusion360 is great but lets not kid ourselves here, if you've never ever used CAD in your life, it's going to be a steep learning curve, but I can guarantee you that it isn't as steep as say Catia V5 for instance (I have thousand hours of that as a professional)...Mach3, meh I'm ok with it, I mean, it works...glad to hear LS is coming out with their own...I've already bought Mach3 but, if LS has a better software then I don't mind parking Mach3 ! Also it's important to note that your cutting speed and quality is dependent on your plasma cuter, more so than the table itself.

Right on! I think you will be happy with it! Hey Jon check out the videos I pinned at the top of the comments on this video, they teach you how to to draw in Fusion 360, I never used any drawing programs before I bought this table, I found these videos to be really helpful by following along and drawing the same parts as in the videos. Take care 👍

I sold this CNC table about a year ago and upgraded to the crossfire PRO table, it’s bigger and has more options. Both tables are excellent and are priced right 🙂👍 Thanks for checking out my video, I have other videos on my channel covering the PRO model, and a lot of videos building stuff using my CNC. I actually built an articulating dump truck and now I’m in the process of building a 6x6 mini pinzgauer truck!

"unlocks precision" what are your thinking about the table size, Would you have gone bigger if you had a bigger shop? I've been watching Collin furze use his 2'x2' desktop cnc for a year thinking it'd change my life getting one but I'd want to go 8x4 so it'll take a full sheet of metal and I just haven't got the space.
@Mikefestiva

I had a opportunity to buy a older plasma cam 4x4 table but I decided not to because I really think that Plasma cam company is out for 100% profit, the older stuff is not supported anymore and if you want them to help you in customer support they want you to buy new electronics and software. Enough of that now I think the 25”x33 table is good for my shop, I don’t have a lot of extra room, I also think full 4x8 sheets of metal would be a lot to move in my shop. I talked with a friend with a fab shop and he said he would shear a 4x8 sheet of metal down to 2x4 for me, this will work better for me. All and all I’m sure there will be times when I need a bigger Table but most of the time I see myself cutting smaller parts. Take care 🙂

@cutweldngrind
@cutweldngrind Жыл бұрын
Would you recommend this one with the XL addon or the Pro. I been wanting a table a while and been using fusion360 for about 5 hours, headaches at first but getting better. I think the pro might accommodate a 4ft wide sheet but I buy new second steel that sometimes measures 46" to 52" in width. Cool video

@@Mikefestiva I have been watching your videos for quite some time and am about ready to get the Crossfire table (not the Pro) I see that have made some changes to it since they first came out with it. would you still be happy with your old original table if you had not upgraded to the Pro?
@Mikefestiva
@Mikefestiva 2 жыл бұрын
@@Iann128 Yes the original table is quite capable 👍 The thing I didn’t care for about the original table was the Mach 3 software, but I believe the smaller tables come with the better Firecontrol software now. That is a massive improvement! If you get time, check out my Articulating dump truck series, you will see the original table cutting all the parts for that machine 👍

I highly recommend that plasma anti rust fluid be bought for tables without stainless water tables and slats. You can get a gallon which is mixed with water. For a small table, you don’t need to use the entire gallon. It will make a big difference. It also helps to prevent bacteria buildup which will happen with steel tables filled with water that aren’t emptied and allowed to dry.

Any preference. I bought some stuff that was 300 dollars for 5 gals for my new jd square table and it still has bacteria and a weird white salt looking stuff around the edges .thanks

I just purchased one of their tables after watching your video last week. I noticed that the first plate that was cut(7min 50s) kept the bottom factory edge of the plate and was wondering how you got everything squared with both axis and how did you locate your origin with a factory edge. Are the two aluminum plates there so that the arc doesn't run out of the steel plate ?
