We had a 73 Jeep Waggoner with Quadra-Trac and a low range box with a warn 8000 winch out front. This brought a lot of memories!we actually installed a divider behind the back sear. Kind of what we have now for pets. Fast stops, etc and the gear in back becomes dangerous for the back of your head.

That is the sickest Jeep from old that I've seen in a long time. I did however fix up a 1975 CJ5 that was the same color. I Love It. And you did exceptional work for not doing it for a living. I've been restoring for 35 years now, but you've done well... excellent video work too.

In Royal Rangers we were taught the value of a first aid kit, I always carry one in my vehicle for when there is trouble and I may need to help someone. The first time I had to really use it, I was the one that needed it. My jeep was in a serious accident, my 20 year old airbags didn't deploy, and my seatbelt didn't work. I relaxed before the impact - I knew to do that. Last thing I remember thinking - just relax, there is nothing else left to do, don't tense up that makes it worse (broken elbows, shoulders, etc) just let the seatbelt catch you. Next thing I know I rag dolled off the steering wheel, and cut my forehead open. I turned the car off, checked myself over, I knew I was in shock because I was very aware, and felt no pain. I got out of the car grabbing first aid kit and got to safety. I opened my kit and had no idea what I was looking at. I didn't know a bandaid from a pair of scissors. Fortunately some person stopped and helped me find some gauze. I never thought I needed it for myself. A few moments later the police arrived. The police officer was amazed that I had a First Aid kit, she exclaimed: "No one ever has a First-Aid kit!" - moral of the story - don't neglect your seatbelts, don't trust 20 year old xj airbags, and always carry a First-Aid kit!

I regret that I have only one thumbs-up to give. Love me some FSJs and vintage Jeeps. They're annoying to deal with at times but when they're right, they're so much fun. I like the vintage gear too. I've never seen the folding kitchen before. The exhaust sounds good without being loud. One nice thing about AMC being so small is that they used everyone else's parts. That's a GM alternator and is cheap and easy to upgrade. Old cars were barely adequate to run the lights and the heater at the same time.

I cheered at the Coleman camp kitchen! Waaay back in 2013 I was a volunteer at Overland Expo, and I was using my parents' old coleman camp kitchen (same model). My friends who I shared a campsite with coined the nickname "The Plastic Chef" because of it. I also generally eat pretty well at camp and I always had coffee on in the morning that I would share.

Hey Brad, The Cherokee is coming along nicely. The exhaust sounds good and looks really clean. On the subject of your search for vintage period correct Coleman camping gear, I have a friend who goes to every estate sale he can find and has come up with stoves, single and double mantel lanterns, coolers, water jugs, and the old Coleman catalyst heaters. Every bit of it has been brand new, purchased and never used and all still in the original boxes and from the 40’s,50’s,60’s, and 70’s. He has come up with this gear really inexpensively. Like he found a red 1 mantle lantern for 5 bucks with the case, model 413 and 425 stoves for 10 to 20 bucks. I have an old 3 burner stove and one of the fold up ovens you use on the stove and they go on every trip I take. The key like I said is estate sales. Always enjoy your videos and adventures. Let the Mrs. know I’m still standing by for her to break out the cast iron Dutch oven on a trip to cook the meal in. Be safe, and keep up the videos. Semper Fi Doc
