This has got to be one of the best stage performances I’ve ever seen. This whole thing is a flex. Like a pure vocal & visual euphoric flex. So good ! Exo is crazy for giving us this stage.

I honestly prefer the Japan version, because the audio quality is better, the camera movement is better. Kai was finally able to dance again after several months of injury. You can see the happiness in his eyes. He danced so hard that even his shoes were broken. And I was happy to see Baekhyun regain his chubby cheeks. I was really worried because at the Seoul concert he was so thin I could almost see his cheekbones.

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but the majority of the choreography for "Monster" has to do with the members using their powers, so if you know what you are looking for, you will see that each move is done for a very specific reason. The X they make to represent EXO is only the beginning of the story in their choreography. Every move of the choreography has been designed to be an extension of their story and it uses elements of their dance to represent several of the members using their powers. For example, D.O. has the power of super strength, so during his part in the song and choreography you will see that he waves his hands and the other members are pushed away from him or pulled toward him. When you see Suho in the middle of the group and they have a hold of his arms, he rotates his body around like swirling water because Suho has the power to control water. Xiumin has the power to control snow/ice/frost, so during one part of the choreography you will see that each of the members pause as if frozen as he moves in front of them. Sehun has the power to control wind, so during his parts, you will see the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm. And the part where they are sitting on the ground is supposed to represent a sundial -- EXO gets their power from the eclipse and their powers are affected by planetary and solar phenomenon, so the sundial is meant to represent the passing of time and their connection to the sun. How I interpret the part where Kai Xs out the tree in their "Wolf" performance is that EXO are searching for the Tree of Life and Kai has eliminated that tree from their search. It's not the tree they want, so they get rid of it. In the intro to "Mama" they talk about how the Tree of Life has been split in two and each half has been hidden away. It's EXO's job to find the two halves of the Tree of Life and reunite them to restore peace in the world. So in their live performance, that is what they are doing. They are searching for the real Tree of Life. Just imagine, that was only one set from a 3 to 4 hour concert where they performed 20 to 30 songs. So, if you think that performance was amazing, keep in mind, after this they only took about a 5 minute break to get ready for the next set of songs and change outfits, etc. Kpop concerts are pretty much nonstop like this for 3 to 4 hours straight. Fun fact: The Tokyo Dome is one of the largest concert venues in Japan and it holds 55,000 fans. There is an unwritten rule that you can't even hold an event there unless you are able to fill the stadium to capacity. So that just goes to show you how big this concert is. And, as you probably know, on top of that, EXO concerts have been known yo sell out in 0.2 seconds, so imagine how crazy it would be if you were in that audience. :D

A set that will always be legendary, even among many EXO tours which are all amazing :D When Baekhyun does his shout midway through Wolf, ah I love that voice. I always feel like saying "Yes Sir" I would follow that man without hesitation :D I laughed so hard when Kevin says "Don't look at me like that" to both Baekhyun and Kai.... when EXO members find the camera and make eye contact it's dangerous stuff hahahaha

This performance is intense!! Some of people may not like this kind of genre but you can't deny that EXO killed that performance. The vocals, the stage performance, the choreography, even the lighting and big ass monitor behind them with some effects. One of best performances and I've seen many. Also EXO is a versatile group. You'll get that intense, soft, funk, ballads, rock, reggae, RnB, , hip hop basically every genre you could ask for in music they've had it all. So on the next live performance reaction (if you do) you'll find different kind of feelings and they'll show you how talented and great performers they are. So enjoy!

Note to Kevin: We all prefer their live stages (concert clips). Exo releases live albums after their tours. They have four live albums recorded during the concerts with faults, laughter, voice cracks and most importantly with fans as background singers. In my playlist, I always replace the studio versions of the songs with live versions. It's always fun to shuffle Exo live songs as they are all good... (well, maybe Cloud9)

I think you would like Ftisland!! They are an idol band who have a lot of rock influences but since they’re still k-pop probably fall more under pop-rock but definitely have albums and songs that are truly rock and border metal. They are actually also j-rock artists...many are fluent in Japanese they’ve held various tours in Japan and have topped Japanese charts several times. I recommend checking them out as a reaction or on your own! Also maybe check out hyukoh band for a more chill/inde rock vibe. They are one of my favorite artists if you’re looking for something less poppy.
