You ever not get around to doing something for 5 whole years? (Please say yes.) Special thanks to Bean and Pigeon for making cameos. Music: Matt Large / 4 Course Meal / courtesy of www.epidemicsound.com

I so relate to getting wrapped in my own head about things that...if I just sat down and Did It would be mostly painless and probably not take too long, but instead agonize over it for years. The "making eye contact" thing cracked me up because I've noticed that if I do put something in a visible spot with the intention of "if I see it, I'll do it" then I just start avoiding that whole area of my room/house lol. Good for you for confronting your (cute and fluffy) ghosts! Can't wait to see the next painting :)

lol I practically RUN in and out of my basement to avoid looking at the rest of it when I go down there to do laundry for this reason.

Haha, I can totally relate, though 5 years is *nothing* for me! 😂 I'm currently side-eyeing a painting I started 18 years ago but would like to finish... For me the hardest bit is always when 70% of the painting is coming together (well) and I don't know what to do with the rest or only the hard bits remain (like legs). Just don't want to ruin anything or something. 🤷 Good job with finishing, now on to the next five year project! Your cat paintings always look so fluffy ache and lifelike.

its so crazy, 5 years?! sadly I can relate, except I would just completely abandon it and start over on something else. So Kudos to you for actually revisiting them! they look great! Im doing inktober and this years theme is cat's, so when I stumbled upon your sketchbook video, and also your 100 cats video, I felt so inspired and warm

You sound like me with the executive function and perfectionism (in my case caused by rejection sensitivity) and you may want to go get tested for adhd 🤣 I think your art is wonderful though, and I love watching your painting videos :)

I relate so much to so many adhd symptoms so I would not be at all surprised! Thank you! :)

Yep, +1 sub. Your vibe is really comforting and i feel like crying. Also you make me really want to paint. I dont really paint, i do watercolory stuff on and off, sometimes, but opaque painting has always kinda scared me. I dont think ive ever made one that looks good. But. I also have canvases sitting in my chest of art supplies. And ive had a painting idea since 2021 i really want to do. But hqving no experience, im afraid to start. Do you have any advice for that ? Im thinking maybe acrylics, to really change from watercolor and force myself to properly learn to paint opaque.

That's so kind of you to say! 💖😭 My biggest advice is just to try really hard to let yourself not worry about the end product and enjoy playing around with the paints! A while back I picked up a book from my local library called "Learn to Paint in Acrylics with 50 Small Paintings" by Mark Daniel Nelson and found it really fun and helpful. It has step-by-step instructions for basic color mixing and layering etc and they're just tiny random images so there's no pressure to make them look "perfect".
