Hi Shorn! This is Barbara, a Jamaican living in the US 🇺🇸 The Goya black beans that Kino had was imported to Jamaica. You can pick out any black beans in Kenya. I would recommend that you choose the dry one in the bag and cook it until it’s tender in water and then add coconut milk and your seasoning, after you could add the rice, if you would like to make peas and rice. Love you and Dee! Be safe ❤🇯🇲

🇯🇲🇯🇲 Shorn, black beans are not regularly used by Jamaicans in cooking rice and peas. The main peas Jamaicans use are red kidney beans and some people alternate with gungu peas ( a smaller, round and brown beans). It’s best to buy the raw beans and cook the rice and peas all the way from scratch. Also for clarity, we don’t mind using white corn or maize however, we are most used to the yellow variety from kiddy days growing up. Best wishes with your cooking and remember cooking is a creative art so your creativity and taste most important. GUIDANCE.

What are going to use it for( black been) if it’s rice n peas you can use any type of red peas n beans you would like, just make sure coconut milk n your spices or there🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

One thing I can tell you is that Jamaicans are very proud and they absolutely love their country. Jamaicans know what they have and many Jamaicans who travel can tell you including myself that there's people , nowhere and no atmosphere like Jamaica!!!

I don't blame yr bro, those shell fishes r scavengers n shd not b eaten at all. They r bottom feeders like snails n crabs their job is to eat the waste filth in the water. Like a bird of prey is for the air, pig for land. Grapeseed oil, olive oil, avocado or coconut oil are the best fr cooking. Nothing like real coconut milk frm grated coconut. If u have space to take some of those things to Esther she wd find ppl to give them to r to the orphanage in Kenya.

The one you got from Jamaica was Goya black beans in the tin but you can use the one in the bag just season it with green onion garlic and thyme when it is cooked add your coconut milk to boil down in your peas

Lake water fish are fresh water fish you can find bass, walleye, catfish, crappie, northern pike, trout, and more! Fresh water has mostly fish. Oceans are salt water fish you can find tuna, grouper, snapper, cod, halibut, mahi-mahi, and salmon scallops mussels, shrimp, clams, prawns, shell fish generally comes from salt water which is the ocean. There only four groups of freshwater clams or mussels in North America: fingernail clams, freshwater pearly mussels, I do not know if they are in Africa. Hope that helps Queen.
