I can’t say enough good about this tractor. I’ve put about 240 hours on it in under 2 years. I think this is probably the most capable tractor of its size when equipped with the LA805 loader.

daveknowshow Exactly. They come in pretty stripped down on the crate. The tractor already had the axle and tires mounted so all of that was missed. This was an existing tractor on the lot and I was just waiting for the loader and R4s.

I haven’t seen an L3560 at a dealer with the heavy loader. I wasn’t even sure they would put one on that tractor. I would definitely want the extra lifting capacity from the better loader.
@JaredsShop
@JaredsShop 4 жыл бұрын
Lucas Renfroe It is hit and miss. The dealer can order the tractor with either loader. My dealer says he doesn’t normally stock it with the heavier loader either because of the extra cost. I think it’s well worth it though. It really puts the tractor in a different class and is more like a L4060 instead of something like an L3901.
@da20eclipse
@da20eclipse 4 жыл бұрын
Does the heavier loader reduce your lift weight? I’m contemplating purchasing a 3901 with the heavier loader, but worried loosing lift weight.
@JaredsShop
@JaredsShop 4 жыл бұрын
SlingPilot The heavier front loader for my tractor actually increases its lift capacity. Kubota rates their loader lift capacity in KG via the model number. The default loader for my tractor is an LA555, which lifts 555kg. My optional LA805 lifts 805kg. Unfortunately, the L3901 only has access to the LA525. There is no loader upgrade for that tractor.
@Noah_E
@Noah_E 2 жыл бұрын
A reason to not get the bigger loader is because a lighter bucket leaves more useable lifting capacity. That matters if you plan to move heavy/dense stuff like logs, dirt, gravel, etc.
@JaredsShop
@JaredsShop 2 жыл бұрын
That’s not how that works. The LA805 lifts a lot more than LA555 loader when equipped with the attachment. It doesn’t matter that it weighs more because the capacity of figured into that.

Just purchased a used 2019 L3560 LE Cab w/ LA805 and 440 hours. The previous owner added the front and rear cab lights, wipers, block heater, chains, and Kubota ballast box. I ordered a HLA 1500 72" snow pusher w/ back drag. I don't have any front or rear remotes, so I'm somewhat limited as to what I can use with it right now. Thinking about pallet forks, and a rear blade or box blade? I set the rear wheels in 1 position from their widest (to get it just under 72"), but it looks like chains might not clear very well, so I'm thinking I'm going to have to put them back.

That surprises me that it bogs down with only a 5’ cutter. The average recommended HP is about 5 per foot, which even then is a little high. I know people who run a 6’ with no problem. Yep. Different strokes for different folks. I’ve been hard pressed to find any brand that’s been as reliable and well engineered as Kubota. With that said, I always recommend people buy based upon the local dealer. That alone can make or break tractor ownership.

In one of your responses, you mention "top-n-tilt". I'm not familiar with that option, can you explain what that is, and how it is beneficial? As for the pricing, although being that you bought it over 2 years ago, the price you paid doesn't really mean much in today's world, I would be interested in having an idea of what type of discount they were offering off MSRP? As I mentioned below to someone else, looking at today's MSRP, that L3560 with a cab and heavier-duty FEL with a 72" bucket is north of $45,000. I am looking at the same tractor with an inverted snowblower and flail mower for the house I am going to be moving into later this year.
@JaredsShop
@JaredsShop 2 жыл бұрын
I don’t remember what the MSRP was back then so I couldn’t begin to tell you what kind of discount there was. Unfortunately, the way everything is selling right now, there is no incentive for any dealers to sell below MSRP. They can’t keep stuff in stock as it is. If you won’t buy it, someone else will. If you can find anyone selling it below MSRP, I’d buy it, unless you’re willing to wait for dealer to start getting a lot of stock again. Here’s a video on the top and tilt. @@JaredsShop - Thank you for such a quick reply. That definitely looks like a worthwhile addition. I probably won't be buying my tractor this year as I would also need to build a pole barn to keep it in. Hopefully next year, the availability will allow the dealers to discount somewhat. The one advantage of having 4 Kubota dealers within 50 miles may help. I do have a dealer I WANT to deal with, just because they have been very honest with dealing with my current garden tractor with a Kubota diesel in it. I'm not going to go to a dealer to save a few bucks, I will, to save a couple thousand though.

Just so you know, there are three loader options for the Grand L 60 series. The top horsepower models use a different loader than the middleweight model you optioned for. The 3560 tops out at the LA805 but something like an L6060 gets an even more capable loader. These are great tractors though.

Hey Jared. I'm a little confused on a couple of things. Looks like you actually went with R4 tires when I see in the seeding video there are turf. And what rear spacing did they go with and why on tires. My sales man said the turf tires should work well on the snow when blowing as long as they perform the east I want in the summer. In in mid Michigan on 40 Ave of mixed open and woods lots of sand. Do you have a tire recommendation? TIA
@JaredsShop
@JaredsShop 2 жыл бұрын
I started off with R4s but ended up trading them in on turfs. I’ve been very happy with them. If you were going to be in mud all day long I’d recommend something else but these are probably the meatiest turfs I’ve ever seen. They do very well in the snow and surprisingly well in the mud. They’re more like flotation tires. The flotation part might really help you in the sand. If you watch the turf tire video you’ll see me testing them in my muddy woods.

@@JaredsShop good, I had asked tractor store about the r14 he didn't have much to say, I think it's an availability issue. @@oltyger8224 Thank you for the kind feedback! On the turf tires, there is no tire/wheel adjustment, which is not uncommon. Most turf tires are not adjustable, but that’s ok because they are wide. I could not imagine wanting to be any wider than I am. The R4s did have adjustable wheels and I had them set at the middle setting. I usually recommend the widest setting without causing issues. The wider the setting the more stable it will be. I didn’t want it set to the widest because it would put them wider than some implements and would also make it difficult to fit between some of the trees in my woods.

Which grapple do you run on this? I have a 2501 and have the wicked 55” in order. Might be upgrading to 3560. Wondering if I need to bump up to wicked 60”
@JaredsShop
@JaredsShop 2 жыл бұрын
I had a wicked 55” and sold it to buy the 60”. The L3560 is a fairly hefty tractor and has the potential to damage a grapple that’s too light. Damage more often comes from the tractors weight and traction than it does it’s loader strength. That’s why I usually recommend a grapple based upon the tractor’s weight while also keeping in mind the loader capacity but not focusing much on HP or loader alone. With that said, how old is your wicked 55”? Mine was an early build when they were first released. It had 1/4” outer tines instead of the current 3/8” and it didn’t have laminated teeth. It had bolted in lower braces between the teeth instead of the tubing with braces. I decided to move to the 60” for the 3/8” used throughout all tines as well as the additional middle hinge. The 60” is substantially stronger than the 55”, especially when dealing with stuff like large rocks that can make the lid flex. The newer 55” with 3/8” outer tines doesn’t flex as much. My 60” was released a couple weeks before they released the laminated tines but I do have the tubing and triangular braces. I have purchased laminated teeth that I will be welding onto the grapple at some point just to bring it up to current specs. It is definitely a beast. If your 55” is a recent build with all of the updates, it would probably do you just fine. If it’s not, I’d consider upgrading. One more thing, make sure you get the LA805 loader. It makes this the most capable tractor of its size.
