Karl could finally come back home after 514 days. It was a tough time for us and our family. There were rumors going around that we got divorced, the social pressure, social media trolls and most of all, the uncertainty of his return. We wanted to make sure our family in India and New Zealand were okay. But when Karl and I were not okay, you guys were there for us. Reading your comments and messages gave us the strength, happiness and courage to keep going. We can’t thank you enough! Today, it almost made me cry looking at all these smiling faces around me, smiling faces of people who matter most to me.

Karl -maybe show Gabriel some nice parts of Delhi suburbs if there are any. Lol He thinks the train station backpacker areas of Delhi are the best place to stay Raw paharganj is too much for a first time non experienced travelled Karl - learn from gabe. He shows the temples and local culture raw in good light though he thinks it’s cool to pay the foreigner fee at monuments since it’s only $8

This govt went too far in my opinion, because his FIL belongs to the opposition Congress party I think, in whose rally he participated. Also, may be anti CAA protests. Though it is illegal, this govt cant stand criticism, as well as the Congress party. Earlier govts wouldn't have been so heartless.

@@thehawkseye3412 Political propaganda? His FIL belongs to the opposition Congress party I think, in whose rally he participated. Plus anti CAA rally may be (iam not sure) So that was enough for this govt. They can't stand criticism. S Sam Visa rules are are a joke for you that can be ignored based on your political view and personal emotions? You have no qualification nor means to know exactly what went wrong besides one sided story and you rush here to trivialize law of the land based on what you think " heart " should do? Participating in political activities on tourist visa is against the rules. He broke multiple visa rules while his stay in India. You would get banned for life in many western countries for that shit. The op hear commented sensibly. And yet you rush to sow your childish political oats.

We like to binge your channel while eating dinner :) When you got blacklisted, we were deeply saddened for you, your family, and your friends. We would check in on you and see if you were back in India yet, but no luck. Then! My mom _finally_ saw the good news, and told me too. We watched this video tonight, and we’re thrilled that you’re back home! Home sweet home! So glad you’re back-take care, enjoy, and heal from all of that stress you endured. 🙏 P.S. Im just curious to know what you like about the Indian culture ? Im indian myself and I find it very conservative. Too many people here with closed mindset. Only food is good here. There is chaos on the roads, infrastructure is very bad and I live in Gurgaon, which is supposed to be better in infrastructure than rest of the country. Ive been everywhere around india, south india, north east india and there is chaos and dirty pollution everywhere compared to Europe and America. People dont even have the decency to keep our roads clean. They dont have decency to line up in a queue. Everyone is ready to step on another foot to get to the top. So what exactly do you like about our culture?

I wonder why Karl hasn't mentioned *why* he was blacklisted. As far as I understand - from articles that were published about his case - the Indian government said he was blacklisted for a year for "violating multiple visa norms including doing business on a tourist visa". Some of the violations alleged include: - He published his book "The India Survival Guide" in 2016, while on a tourist visa. This is seen as conducting business (making a profit from the sales), which is not allowed on a tourist visa. - He had published a report with Zee News titled “Atulya Bharat”, exposing scammers in New Delhi. He was on a tourist visa at the time and according to policy, foreigners cannot indulge in journalism and other media activities without requisite permission from the Indian government. *edit:* this video is still on Karl's channel, titled "Karl Rock Reporting for Zee News in India!", posted on May 29, 2018. He appears in the TV program holding a microphone labeled Zee News, it makes it _look_ like he's one of their reporters - regardless of whether he was actually employed by them. - On 19 December 2019, he had posted a video on KZfaq where he and his wife had participated in anti-CAA protests in Delhi. The government argues that it was a violation of visa rules, since foreign nationals are not allowed to participate in political activities in India. This video appears to have been made private or was deleted; its original title was "Protesting Against the Indian Government"… which as you can imagine was not received very well. To be clear: *I am not judging his actions,* I find these rules to be very strict and easy to break even by accident. Just stating the facts of the case.

Yeah, I cried. So what? 🤧🥰😌 I can relate a bit with your being separated from your family. My son was in the US Army. He was a combat medic and during covid he was quarantined to the demilitarized zone between N. Korea and S. Korea. Then he was shipped to Thailand when the borders temporarily opened and got stuck there. I didn’t see him for 4 years! He was already In Australia for a year and couldn’t take leave while there, then he got shipped to the Philippines for a year and quarantine lasted two years. He was supposed to come home for a long visit after the Philippines but it was cancelled. So, my only child....who never was away from me for too long his entire life, was gone for 4 years! I’ve had him back home for a year now, he decided after quarantine was over he wasn’t going to remain in the military any longer. So, he moved back to our home state and I am so relieved that he decided to continue his education here instead of enlisting for another 8 years. I kind of don’t want him to travel at all anymore for fear of this happening again. So very happy you’re back with your family. To be honest, if I were you...I’d probably never travel outside India ever again. ✌🏻💕😊
