Congratulations Karl and your wife. I love to see interracial couples. I' m Indian and my wife is half african and half french. It is always interesting learn so much more. When my wife and I have conversation, we spent hours talking and learning each other culture, religion. Good thing is we both are good cooks, we plan and take turns to cook delicious meal. My mother in law loves my food. My wife flew to India to see my parents for first time by herself, I was on project. Glad to see you both.

My Mom is Japanese, and my dad Indian (Punjabi Hindu). When they decided to get married there was alot of opposition, not from the fathers but from the mothers. My Dadi had to be bribed with a new refrigerator 😂 and my Nani... Well she eventually came around especially after I was born she softened up quite a bit. Ya family drams 🤷♂️ The world is getting smaller, people need to open their eyes, hearts and minds more. Love is love ❤️

I was smiling the whole time especially during your drive from the airport. It brought memories back. The same questions and new observations amongst the visiting family members. I was like your parents and my Indian wife and her family got to laugh as I made my ongoing foreigner comments 😄... India has become a regular destination since my first introduction in 2015. As much as I love being South Asian I'm so glad I live in the States where my parents cant meddle in any relationships I might have. Boundaries and privacy are important to me, mad props to you for understanding how Indian culture works though.
