Finally Heading Back to Puerto Rico (Health?Travel Update)

I'm finally cleared from some medical issues and can head back to Puerto Rico. Cant wait to return and looking forward to the Sun, Beach and Ocean.

As far as I know,,, there are no direct flights from Granada to Puerto Rico,,, long time ago there were flights with American Airlines.

I’m a lil curious about Crypto, will it become a standard currency in Puerto Rico and the USA? I know it’s the standard in El Salvador.. a lot of people are saying it’s fake money, even China has banned it.

Hard to say. I think there is a lot of potential for it but when and if it catches on... Who really knows

Also I’m learning that Cuba is looking to regulate the use of bitcoins, even England. Are they using them in Puerto Rico? I haven’t heard anything about their usage in the USA.

They are not used regularly in Puerto Rico or the us although there are some places that do take Bitcoin in the US and Puerto Rico

@@PuertoRicoLife people are curious, but there’s a strong stigma that it’s fake money, once it’s up in the air it will have an impact on world currency, difficult to regulate and open to illegal transactions.

@@marcotorres8779 I think we're a long way from Bitcoin replacing currencies like the US dollar I don't really know what the future for crypto is but I think there's definitely potential some of the technology underpinning the cryptocurrency market is very strong things like the blockchain which created an immutable record are here to stay I think nfts have a lot of potential and I suspect that at least a few cryptos will be very valuable in the future

@@PuertoRicoLife Also credit institutions would suffer. As of now PayPal and Credit Karma issue cards with credit limits and not currency. Bitcoin promises coins and a standard monetary valued paper money. Isn’t that a threat to hard currency?

Interesting vids. I'm looking into act 60. Any push back from Puerto Ricans angry because Americans are coming in a gentrifying and displacing people on the island? Seen lots of videos on this. Saw a lot of Gringo go home stuff all over San Juan when I went. Also, don't us Americans turn into Puerto Ricans when we move there? Like if we move to Texas we are now Texas. So confused. lol

I think the gringo go Home folks are a vocal minority most people seem pretty okay with people coming here whether they take advantage act 60 or not. I'm not an act 60 person and technically don't even live in Puerto Rico I spend slightly more of my time on the mainland us but I haven't felt any significant resentment occasionally I've met people that are against people moving here saying things like their gentrifying and displacing people but I don't think that the three or four thousand act 60 people actually make a significant difference in the gentrification of the island most of the local population understands that and encourages people coming here as long as they're respectful to local culture etc
