But no one learns it to know or speak but to score marks. We need to promote sanskrit and vedas in higher education also. Sanskrit should be made compulsory in all schools from nersscary to 10th.

Many students consider Sanskrit in school a scoring subject as it has vast grammar and many more things so thats why many students choose Sanskrit as a scoring subject when they elevate from class 10th standard to class 11th standard. So they learn Sanskrit to obtain marks not gain knowledge at all. Even many schools teach Sanskrit as a subject from class 5 or 6th standard to till class 8th standard and then when a student elevate to class 9 and 10th standard they select Sanskrit as an optional subject or additional one which is not compulsory. Even same things is going on in arts colleges as well where mostly students choose Sanskrit as an honours or general subject to score marks only not for knowledge. And it happens in university level too where a student choose Sanskrit in Masters degree just as a scoring knowledge and most of them dont apply this language anywhere what they have learnt. I would recommend to Indian education ministry to mandate Sanskrit in every Indian school from lower standard to senior higher secondary school classes to teach our students about our ancient language which is the mother of all languages in the world.
