Like every single song in their mammoth discography This song does exactly what it was meant to, cheer up a post covid world, be fun and frivolous, and its impeccable. So I cannot say I dislike it but there must be a 100 BTS songs I love so so much more, that form the soundtrack for my life. So even this song has its place. I am grateful for it as its how I first became aware of BTS. prefer the Tiny Desk version, but then they are usually best live.

Dynamite was a real shot in the arm at the time of release! Some people dunk on it now, but they've forgotten the context. It was just a real banger and pure fun. BTS understood the assignment.

It's a surprise for me that you didn't noticed immediately the great homage they make to Michael Jackson, a part from Jin's moonwalk. If you notice, they make many many many moves reminding of MJ since the beginning : JK with the hand after drinking the milk, then the famous MJ's kick, the part of the donut's shop when JK enters is the Smooth Criminal video's beginning, V with the sunglasses like in dangerous tour\Superbowl halftime and the beginning of Billie Jean's choreography right after, Suga making the grab crouch, in the disco+the end of the video they make the most famous MJ moves. The plane is a reference to Who is it video, and many more are there. Even in the lyrics there are names of MJ songs, such as Off the wall or Break of dawn. Even the music guitar remembers the Jackson 5's I want you back. Many of us MJ's fans had a lot of fun in searching all the references XD It's a wonderful song and a great homage: Michael would have adored it :)

The only thing I hate about dynamite aside from some of the lyrics it's the heavy autotune ! I mean yeah sure the lyrics aren't supposed to be deep since the song is about the vibes but oh ! Some of the members sounded like robots !! 😭 But it was everything back in 2020 ! .

I thought it was a f*8king soul as well. I would scream that lyric alone in my house. I was kinda disappointed when I finally saw the lyrics and realized it was funk and soul 🤣
