Citing from the Portsmouth News website, Work on the first four vessels - HMS Glasgow, HMS Cardiff, HMS Belfast and HMS Birmingham - is well underway. Minister for defence procurement James Cartlidge, Conservative MP for South Suffolk, confirmed when the new warships are expected to enter service.

This timeline is way too slow because the UK does not have enough shipbuilding capability. Also, the general purpose bay in the Type 26 needs to be converted to house additional weapons systems.

Well looking at type 45 and the new carriers will it be any better waiting for repairs blaming the contractors as usual it must make more money broke than fixed for the mod pocket. 😊😊

So if you don't blame the contractors who do you blame? the whales and sharks? If you think building a carrier these sizes doesn't have teething problems with 250,000km of electrical cable & 8,000km of fibreoptic cable and 364,000 metres of pipes inside each of the ships then you're out of your mind. France, Germany, America... all have teething problems and mechanical issues. No ship this size can be perfect, there is so many moving parts. Typical mc donald employees putting out stupid comments like it's the easiest thing to build.@@thecurlew7403

So the launch date and when they will enter service cannot be disclosed by the MoD but in other videos they give you most of the operational capabilities and radar range etc, pathetic.

As an Englishman and with the experience of our governments over the last 40-50 years, their industrial strategy,which is none existing, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit . They have already sold off what is left of our steel industry to the Indians and Chinese . Many of our high tech defence companies have also been sold off ,mainly to the USA I might add . Our politicians are more interested in diversity,multiculturalism tick boxing ,than actually making things .

Our naval forces won’t serve on foreign built ships so NO unless their tactic of having foreigners fighting for our armed services works with these migrants
