We spent 2 weeks in Newfoundland in 2015 - ventured far from our home in Texas. We saw dozens of "Be Moose Aware" signs all over the place, but no moose. We learned that they are not native to NFLD, but were introduced in the early 1900s to attract big game hunters. We fell in love with Newfoundland and home to return some day.

I have learned a lot from this video (and your others, never been close to Newfoundland). (73 yr, young Grama from S. Cal!) You have gone to great length to get your experience filmed and I appreciate that! Congratulations❗ on your moose, some good nutrition for the winter. Good point about eating while you're out a lot of people make that mistake. I wear a hydration vest with snack pockets stuffed full whenever I'm in the bush it doesn't matter what I'm doing... trail clearing, biking, even fishing I always wear it. Gotta keep this machine running right!

well thats a job..Well done...iv done this many times with deer in Wv..if you live on a mountain in you get one in the valley,,is an all uphill climb..iv seen some guys carry them,,well thats a no no for me...your break time sounds good to me,,,,nothing like something warm to drink while hunting..im over 70 now,and most the time i just think about hunting,,but i do have a ladder stand yet...i have herds of them that come in close to the house...crab apples trees i planted years ago.they love them..great video Bob,,happy new year to..

love your down home friendly videos' live in N.B.Canada .we have a lot of the same wildlife as in NFLD .no more Caribou but a noose hunting season which we shipped 8 to NFLD back in the early 1900s ..Those few moose done one heck of survival rate .my wife and I DO ENJOYABLE Trips in the wilderness hunting small and big game or fishing and at times just trips in the outdoors .Possibly we could enjoy a wilderness trip someday .
