Synopsis:
Cheng Shao Shang is a young girl who was forced to grow up alone after most of her family had to leave to fight in a bloody war. Thus she becomes stubborn and untrusting. She fends for herself in a town populated by people like her, who have been left behind by the war.
One day, a talented and powerfu general named Ling Bu Yi comes to the town - and falls in love with her at first sight. He resolves to marry her, even though it will cause him no end of problems if he decides to pursue this union. She also warns him that she doesn’t trust him, and that her stubborn personality might not be suitable for the wife of a general. But Ling Bu Yi also has deep secrets, and there are facts about his true identity that even he does not know. I have to give high praise to the Black Armored Guards of General Zicheng. The dedication and loyalty to him from the very first is solid. No betrayal, no doubt, no disobedience on their part to the command of their general, they always call Young Master. It's sad that it came down to a life threatening situation for Shaoshang to finally open her heart to Huo Buyi, but it's not too late, because now she truly knows he is willing to suffer and die for her.

She cried and she forgave. She just realized the meaning of “having you alive is the most important,” Huo told her earlier in this scene when he came knowing that was a trap. Kudos to everyone to convey her crying such a raw emotion. Thanks for the English subtitles. May the Pandas God bless you.

When she was just crying and saying Zisheng broke me to tears. Its been fun watching their journey together. Glad it was a happy ending for them at least. 👏🏾😊✌🏾

Never get tired of watching this scene when SS realized she may have lost Zisheng, and never to see him again, also regretting she hasn't forgiven him nor reassured him that she loves him. Crying right along with SS. That hug was all they both needed! Great performances by all!ZL & WL, best couple❤from USA

1:51 Looking at crying and screaming his name is heart wrenching. And listening to her inner dialogue replay all the promises he’s made to her through their time together is heartbreaking. Cause the ice around her finally broke apart. For a time all he told her all she heard were just words, now seeing him disappear before her eyes knowing she’ll never see him again brought all those emotions to her in one fell swoop. And it hit all at once that she did indeed love him. She just wants the time back to be able to tell him. Seeing her look defeated was painful, just more time to have him back.

I am just so grateful for everyone who worked in this drama!! Specially for Wulei and Lusi, they did an INSANELY good job on interpreting these characters!! And their chemistry was so so good! 😭 love this drama forever ⭐️🌙

I dont know how many times I watched this crying scene. Lusi acting was really great. She never failed to amaze me. I really love this scene, her crying and Lei lei reaction when she hug him was heart wrenching but a great relief. I think her chemistry with Lei lei was one of the best. I was hoping for a wedding scene at the end. But I think that after watching this drama for the 3rd time. I realized the ending was great. The fact that she almost lost him again, which leads to finally forgiving him. And Zisheng finally having a family he can claim that he was a part of, the Cheng family. The ending was really heart warming. Thank you for the director and staff who made this drama happened. The best drama of 2022!!!! I will surely miss these couple. Im hoping for their future drama again!!!

It was a fitting ending. As you will recall in past episode, it was in the camp that Buyi pointed out the land that he asked the emperor to give him as their future home away from the capital.

Again that soundtrack being on point. Reuniting the lovers in pain and disbelief, for relief and surrender to love. My Rosy giving it all while being a Lady. Relieved A’Fei and A’Qi being the witnesses of this wonderful moment. And The General being the lucky bastard, who can’t belief his Luck: ‘do you REALLY forgive me? Please, don’t change your mind, little girl …’

Two scenes stand out for different reasons: 1) 4:51 He thought he lost her, until he heard her call him. Hope that seed of doubt doesn’t grow any taller. 2) 6:10 Seeing the teacher rise between the loving couple, and saying “Are you done having your sweet moments”. Was funny during all the lovey-dovey couples.🤭

My only complaint for the scene is that they should have really messed up his outfit. He would have had to find the secret exit, somehow opened it, got inside, closed the door and by then he would have been right next to the explosion and had to climb up through what was likely a destroyed passage. Even if he was slight roughed up it would have may his entrance better.

She was moving on, that's what they all decided until their haters decided to strike again and again, i guess we have to thank them. I think it's about time people understand shaoshang's point of view too.

I don't think it was self-righteousness that prevented her from being with him. I think when he abandoned her (her greatest fear) TWICE, to die without her, it broke her heart and her trust in him. It doesnt matter how trust is broken... cheating, drinking, abandonment, etc. You can still love the other person, even forgive them; but once trust is gone, the relationship is effectively over. You no longer want to risk having your heart in their care. It's very very hard to re-build trust. Much harder than building it in the fist place. I think she was honest (in the scene after the queen died, where they are alone) when she said she hated him for wanting to die instead of living a life with her, and hated herself that she showed him her heart but got nothing back from him but lies, etc. At a certain level, that all involves trust. Finally, I think enough time had past, hearing his apologies & regrets (and beliving them), and with the shock of losing him, her heart was opened and she was willing to try again with him (meaning, try trusting her heart to him again). This was not a conscious decision.

Ещё как важно, как подорвано доверие. Их должны были убить. И он спас её а сам прыгнул в пропасть. Единственно правильное решение. А если было бы наоборот? Он что должен был прятаться за ней? Или вместе с ней прыгнуть? Всё так получилось из за неё, она это никогда не признает. Она обвиняет его в том что он её бросил, и все её жалеют. Что то с головой у неё не в порядке? Вряд ли, очень сложная девушка. Она мыслит высокими категориями, за которыми прячется собственное самолюбие. Ей подошёл бы Яо, вот его бы, как она говорила, забила бы до смерти, за уязвленное самолюбие. Это гордыня. А простить не может:как он посмел исчезнуть на целых пять лет. Она такой и останется: хорошей для всех и жестокой для Буи

I need to know what fabric their clothes are made of because fire, smoke, ash, blown up room, rocks, blood and rolling on the ground and the clothes are barely dirty. (Same with the hair) My dog walk by me and I’m covered in fur.

He killed his "father" (which was actually his uncle )because the "father" was the main person that caused the massacre of the Hou clan . In killing his "father" he was suppose to captured and killed but her and her family went to rescue him . Please bare in mind that ,upon until the day he had murdered his "father" she was suspecting that he was hiding something from her but it wasn't like she didn't know the answer she just wanted him to tell her from his own mouth but he didn't .Even the day before their wedding which the same day he killed his "father" she asked and he denied hiding anything . Anyways move forward to the night he killed his "father" , her whole family risked their lives to protect him but during the rescue he threw himself off the cliff basically abandoning her .PLEASE NOTE : SHAOSHANG IS AFRAID TO BE ABANDONED BECAUSE HER PARENTS HAD LEFT HER TO GO INTO BATTLE THE DAY SHE WAS BORN AND ZISHENG KNOWS THIS
