UPDATE: tldr: I was able to fix the grinding issue on the M1 and M2 clicks. Lubing the housing of the plunger for the clicks removed the problem, you could also put a bandaid or tape in for the same effect. My first attempt at tuning the clicks was putting some metal tape on the plungers to lesson the travel distance between the switch and the plunger. This unfortunately had no effect, I also tried the same with a bandaid and nothing changed. After watching jakeu's review kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nddnbLd9rtyqgJc.htmlfeature=shared&t=135 at the time stamp included in the link I took a closer look out the assembly of the clicks. If you're familiar with a mechanical keyboard switch, you would know that a lot of the unpleasant scratchy feeling that you get in a switch comes from the contact of the slider and the switch housing. This is typically solved by hobbiest by lubing the housing and the slider. Interestingly on the ULX the click assembly is set up in a very similar manner. The plunger travels along a track that is connected along the inner structure of the mouse. This is what is the cause of the of the grinding and creaky feeling that I feel while moving from left to right on the mouse buttons. I fixed it by applying some krytox 205g0 to both the housing and the plunger itself (any switch lube should work fine, or even a thinly cut bandaid or painters tape). This totally eliminated that horrible feeling and sensation which both jakeu and myself mentioned in our videos and has made a huge difference to how the mouse feels to me now. With all that being said, the fact that this is almost a mandatory mod to make on a mouse that I spent just under $300 on is absurd and the average consumer of this product won't have the means or knowledge to be able to perform this tune which DRASTICALLY changes how the mouse feels and performs. I plan on doing another update to this video after a bit more longterm use and if enough people also experience this issue I can post a guide on how to fix it (I honestly feel like you can get away with doing this mod without voiding your warranty, you just need to be careful with the shell). I wasn't able to figure out a fix for the side buttons shifting but I'm going to do some more thinking about it and see if I can cook up something for that so stay tuned but the same point mentioned above still applies lol.
