Thank you for such an informative video and guidance. I would like to ask if you have any guidance of how to make a good application for registering with the GDC as a Dental therapist or Hygienist. I am aware of the requirements to apply with the GDC, but I am not sure if I should apply as Dental therapist or Hygienist. It would be wonderful if you could share a video or information in your facebook page about this process. Thank you for helping us all.

Thanks. It all depends upon your plans. If you want to move to uk then apply for ore/lds.

Hi sir, thank you very much for your informative videos. It is very helpful. I would like to know if it is better to do a 1 year masters in UK after bds. Can i register and work as a dental hygienist while studying? Will I get a job as a hygienist during studying? Is it a better option to prepare for ORE while doing masters? Please can you give me some guidance.

You should look for employment after you have passed both part1 and part2.

Yes you can prepare abroad and nearly all materials are available however you will need to attend the courses in uk. This could be done simultaneously when you visit for the part1 exam in the same trip.

Hello sir, i would like to ask that I’m moving to the uk for an mph course after completing my bds degree but due to high cost i will not be able to give an ore exam right away so is it possible for me to give this exam 2/3 years after my bds degree ?

Hello Sir, I'm planning to do my Mds in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Glasgow next year. I'm also planning to give ORE simultaneously. Will doing this Mds course be profitable for me? If I come back to India or plan to settle their, in both cases? Thank you Sir.

Is there competition booking LDS exam because of limited places. My worry is what's the point in preparing for the exam if I cant get booking place

Ore 1 is conducted twice a year and ore 2 is 3 times a year.

What is the 2year validity visa actually? Is it a visit visa? Have never heard about this type before....plz would you explain briefly.

It is a visit visa. You can apply for a 6month, 2 year or 5 year multiple entry visit visa.

Dr Omair for a fresh BDS graduate would you suggest registering as dental therapist/hygenist and then consider appearing for ORE?

Therapist route is a good option for people settled in uk. For overseas students getting a work visa as a therapist is difficult so I would suggest passing the exams first and then moving to UK

As ORE/LDS itself is a long journey.. so doctor what is to be done for professional development for the fresh graduates after clearing part 1 exam... is it good to opt some alternative Courses in uk while simultaneously preparing for part 2 exam

Once you have passed part1 you should take specific coaching courses for part2 so you can prepare well. I would advise not to move to UK till you have passed Part2. Later on you can do short courses of any PG qualification.

I wanna practice in uk as a dentist bt as i know the cost of license xm is high.If i wanna be a hygienist what should i do. ( if i will establish myself as a hygienist then want to appear in ore xm). Is it a good idea? Plz give me a suggestion sir.& whats the procedure to be a hygienist?

The hygienist route is good but you will not be able to get a visa ro work in uk on the basis of hygienist registration. The best way is to pass the exam while coming on visit visa and once you have passed then move to UK.

Sir, I have got a 7.5 band overall in IELTS . 8.5 in listening, 8 in reading, 7 in speaking and a 6 in writing (6.5 needed) , is there any way they can grant an exempt. I have just completed my BDS in Chennai, India.

Hi, unfortunately they will not accept this. You will have to sit the IELTS again to achieve the score.

Hi. Should you have dental license from other country in order to apply for ORE? Or its already possible to take the exam with just a diploma

Hi, you need your basic dental degree to apply for the exam. You will send a copy of your degree to UK Naric and they will do a statement of comparability which will then make it acceptable for the exam application process.

Once you pass the exams and get gdc registered then there are many options and opportunities available. See my other video on this topic for more details.

Your work should be according to the gdc standard which is quite high. With regular practice and correct guidance you can achieve this with 2 to 3 months of practice. 90% of people fail in the manikin part.

@@Dr_Lad yes if you fail even 1 exercise in the manikin you will fail the whole exam. You need to pass all the parts.

@@oreandldscoursesbydromairj5307 so i take it, out of 60 people the pass rate is like 20 ??? I saw the grading sheet, and there is an "acceptable" mark for each exercise i think...

@@Dr_Lad there is an acceptable mark for every exercise which is the standard you need to achieve. Examiners do the marking which is tough. The overall pass rate is around 30 to 40% for part2 ore and lds. Do good preparation for the exam and do not take manikin lightly. Attend a good manikin course where the tutor provides daily updates on your work.
